The Madison Excavating Major Atoms racked up another 4 points with 2 wins at home and the top spot in the east.

Wednesday, January 18th, Quinte played host in Marmora to the Clarington Toros. The two teams have notoriously battled back and forth through game play and the first period of this game was no different as the set ended in a 0-0 tie. The Devils went to work offensively in the second. Thomas Kuipers scored the first on the set up from Liam Philip and Carson Campbell. Braedyn Rogers would add one unassisted from the point, followed by a sniper from Ty Therrien, assisted by Beckett Ewart. Clarington would find the back of the Quinte net but the Devils answered back moments later with another from Therrien, assisted by Ewart and Campbell to make it 4-1. In the third, Quinte went on to seal the win with another 2 unaswered goals from Philip and Brody Partridge, assisting were Kuipers(2), Rogers and Ben Vreugdenhil. Dean Spry stood tall in the net for the Devils throughout the decisive 6-1 victory.

The Devils were on home ice again to face the Central Ontario Wolves on Saturday. The pace was a little slow to start but it was the Devils once again to hit the scoreboard first on a shot from Ewart, assisted by Therrien and Jared Langdon. The second saw Quinte pick up the pace and add a couple points as Partridge and Therrien each added one. Helpers came from Ty McCambridge, Kuipers, Ewart and Langdon. While the Wolves goaltender worked hard all game facing a lot of quality shots, the third period saw the Devils add two more and seal the 5-0 win. Scoring in the third were Ewart and Therrien, assisted by  Ben Danford, Therrien, Rogers and Vreugdenhil. Glen McInnes was solid in net to record the shut out.

On Deck: The Devils will be at home on Wednesday, January 25 to face the Kingston Jr. Frontenacs at QSWC at 6:15pm.  Saturday, Quinte will be back on their home ice in Marmora at 3pm to host the Peterborough Petes.
