In the OMHA semi-finals,
the Foley Bus Lines Minor Midget Devils found themselves up against their old
foe from Oshawa in the form of the Generals. Game one started out tied after
the first period before the Devils took over and scored five unanswered the rest
of the way to take the opener 6-1. Game two took place in a late Sunday nighter
in Oshawa.
QRD came out all over the Generals but could only manage one in the first before adding one more in the second. After the flood, the home squad got a little life by getting one before the ice had even dried but fortunately, the Devils kept the course and added a couple insurance markers to take the contest with a 4-1 final. For game three at home, the Devils wanted nothing to do with another trip down the 401 and came out looking to close out the sweep in front their home town fans. This back and forth game got tied up by Oshawa with 5:41 on the clock in the third before the Devils bounced right back thirty seconds later to add the eventual winner and held on for the 4-3 win and the series sweep. Next Action……Your hometown 2004 Foley Bus Lines Devils host the AAA Minor Midget OMHA Championship this weekend March 6-8th at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre. Look for the final schedule to be out Wednesday March 4th and plan on coming out to support the boys in their quest for back to back OMHA Championships and a berth in the OHL Cup March break in Toronto.
