The Bonn Law QRD U13 Team picked up six more
points this weekend in league play, and are 8-0 to start the season.
On Friday, The Devils headed West along the
401, for a game vs The Clarington Toros. The Devils took a 2-0 lead in the
first period, and never looked back, on their way to a 9-0 win.
Fisher Kernohan and Shea Teather each had a
pair of goals in the game. Also scoring in the game; James Gullage, Rowyn
Haley, Tyler Martin, Mason Whalen and Austin Pettey. Chipping in with helpers on
the goals; Gullage (2), Martin (2), Noah Hughes (2), Holden Goulah, Cameron
Stevens, Kyler Patterson, Pettey, Tether, Brody Grant, Thomas Marsden and
Edmund Dowling. Matt Travers was sharp between the pipes to earn the shutout in
the win. Shea Teather was named player of the game.
On Saturday, The Red Devils hosted the
Peterborough Petes for Quinte Day at The Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre. The
Devils continued their solid team play, scoring ten more goals in the 10-2 win
over The Petes. James Gullage and Tyler Martin each had a pair of goals in the
game. Tether, Kernohan, Hughes, Grant, Oliver McCulloch and Miller Nicholson
each had singles. Assists on the goals; Goulash (3), Whalen (2), Stevens,
Martin, Gullage, Dowling, Patterson, Kernohan. Dax Sage was solid in net for
the win. Tyler Martin was named player of the game.
In their 3rd game of the weekend, The Red
Devils traveled to Ajax for a Sunday afternoon tilt with The Raiders. The teams
traded goals in the first period, and the game was tied 2-2 heading into the
second. The Devils would score 5 unanswered goals in the next two periods, on
their way to a 7-2 win. Mason Whalen led the way, with two goals in the game.
Also lighting the lamp for The Devils was Haley, Tether, Nicholson, Martin,
Stevens. Assisting on the goals; Tether (2), Stevens (2), Kernohan, Grant,
Gullage, Pettey, Martin. Matt Travers picked up the win between the pipes, and
Mason Whalen was named player of the game.
