Foley Bus Lines -  Minor Bantam
In the only game this week for the Foley Bus Lines Minor Bantams, the Red Devils hosted the Ajax Pickering Raiders in a game where the top teams from the East and West Divisions met for the first time this year.

The Devils would open the scoring at the mid-point of the first period, as Noah Richard found the back of the Raiders net on a pass from Cooper Matthews.  The Game would remain a 1 to 0 match in back and forth action, until the mid point of the 3rd period, when Ajax would even things up at 1 apiece.  With only 5 seconds left in the game, Owen Beck lit the lamp for the Devils on a pass from Donovan McCoy to give the Devils the win.  Brady Spry made key saves in the Devils net throughout the game to keep the Devils in it.

On Deck: Next action for the Foley Bus Liners is Saturday Dec 9 at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, where the Devils host the Oshawa Generals. Puck Drop is scheduled for 3:45pm.

Rhino Sports and Play Quinte - Novice
The Rhino Sports and Play Quinte Novice Red Devils had a very successful weekend.  On Saturday, they travelled to Lindsay to take on the Wolves.  The Wolves took an early first period lead, but the Red Devils found their stride and limited the damage to just one goal at the end of the first period.  In the second, Quinte scored twice in 22 seconds with goals from Nate Rashotte unassisted, and Chase Cybulskie from Cam Shaw.  The Red Devils continued to dominate the play into the third period with their third goal coming from Pierson Clute from Cam Shaw and Paxton Erskine.  The Wolves were determined not to go away quietly though, and took advantage of a turnover in the slot to bring the game within a goal.  Just over a minute later, the Wolves struck again to tie the game at 3 and that’s the way the game would finish.  Charlie Vos was in the net for tie.

On Sunday, the Red Devils were up against the undefeated Whitby Wildcats.  Looking to avenge 11-3 and 10-1 losses against the Wildcats in their last two meetings, the Devils came out flying in the first period.  The action went back and forth but Quinte’s goalie, Daniel Yeo kept the Wildcats off the scoreboard after one period.  Both teams seem to find their scoring touch in the second period.  Whitby would  score first,  but Cam Shaw was able tie the game 9 seconds later from Chase Cybulskie.  41 seconds later, Whitby regained the lead, and then scored again half way through the period to go ahead 3-1.  Quinte was determined to keep pace with Whitby however and found themselves only down 3-2 after the 2nd period thanks to a break away goal by Mac Chisholm unassisted.

Inspired by only being down 3-2 on the scoreboard to the first place Wildcats going into a third period, the Red Devils were a different team in the final period. Quinte shocked Whitby by scoring three unanswered goals from Paxton Erskine, Nate Rashotte, and Joey Nieman, with assists to Cam Shaw, Joe Nieman, Nate Rashotte and two by Mac Chisholm.  Whitby managed to score a goal with 3 minutes left in the game, but Jake Gawley finished the Wildcats off scoring with just 1:29 left to seal the 6-4 victory and hand the Whitby Wildcats their first Regular Season loss. Daniel Yeo was in net for the victory.

On Deck: Next up for the Red Devils is Peterborough on Thursday, followed by weekend matchups against the Toros and the Wolves.

Free Flow Petroleum - Minor Midget
The Free Flow Minor Midgets travelled to Aurora this past weekend to compete in the ETA Showcase in front of OHL, USPORTS and NCAA scouts. The two day event featured all 13 teams in the ETA playing in one venue. Up Saturday was a key East division matchup against the Peterboro Petes. Peterboro came out flying early and scored the first goal of the game in the first minute. While both teams were not sharp, Red Devils tied it up 8 mins later on a snipe from Isaac Langdon with Gavyn Stevenson and Brayden Robinson assisting. That's the way things stayed until midway through the 2nd period when Petes struck for 2 quick goals on some fortuitous bounces to go up 3-1. However, the Devils did not fold and struck back just over a minute later with 2 tallies of their own 16 seconds apart by Jacob Vreugdenhil and Isaac Langdon. Helpers were supplied by Karsten Leonard, Curtis Dicks and Stevenson. Things stayed tied until early in the 3rd when Petes struck again in the first minute with the go ahead goal. They added another midway through the period before notching an empty net goal to skate away with the win. Ethan McDonnell was solid in net.

Sunday the boys faced their west division rivals, the Ajax Pickering Raiders. Devils came out flying and dominated the first period with several good scoring opportunities but couldn't put anything past the Raiders goalie. It was the same for the second period until Jacob Gilbert finally banged home a goal for the Devils with assists from Langdon and Stevenson. Although they generated most of the scoring chances , the Devils couldn't find the mesh again but the single tally was enough to put the Raiders away. Matt Tovell picked up the shutout in a very solid performance.
