FOLEY BUS LINES MINOR PEEWEE RED DEVILS EVEN THE SERIES WITH RICHMOND HILL.
After falling behind in the series with a loss and a tie
last weekend, the Foley Bus Lines Red Devils have once again shown their ability
to overcome adversity and rebounded to tie the series at 5 pts.
In game 3 of the series the Devils hosted the Coyotes on March 9 at the Yardman arena. The Devils found themselves down by one after the opening frame, but rebounded with three goals in the 2nd period from Isaac Brown, Kendrick Webster and Aaron Brown. Assisting on the 2nd period goals were; Liam Filip, Phoenix Smith, Trevor Hoskin, Cooper Matthews, Corbin Roach and Donovan McCoy. The Devils led the game going into the third period by one. Cooper Matthews scored a pair and Trevor Hoskin added a single in the third with assists going to Rheydan McCoy, Trevor Hoskin with a pair and Kendrick Webster with a pair of his own. Final score for the Devils was 6 to 4 as Andrew Munro was sharp in the Devils net for the win.
In game 4, the Bus Liners travelled to Richmond Hill to take on the Coyotes at the Elgin Borrow Centre on March 12. Once again the Coyotes scored first in the opening period to head into the 2nd period with a 1 point lead. The Devils added a goal in the 2nd period by Kendrick Webster on a feed from Cooper Matthews. The Coyotes added a goal of their own in the 2nd to enter the third period with a1 goal lead. The Coyotes continues to press into the third and were too much for the Devils as they added a third goal and an empty netter to take the game. Final score was 4 to 1 as the Devils fell to the Coyotes and gave the lead in the series back to the Coyotes with a 5 to 3 point lead. Corbin Votary took the loss in the Devils cage.
In Game 5 on March 13, The Red Devil Minor Peewees hosted the Coyotes at the QSWC on Rink A. In a must win game, the Devils came out on fire with 4 quick unanswered goals in the first period. Scoring for the Devils were Isaac Brown, Kendrick Webster, Donovan McCoy, and Corbin Roach with an unbelievable series of dekes through three players and an “undressing” of the Coyote goalie. Assisting on the Devils first period goals were; Sami Douglas-Najem, Phoenix Smith, Donovan McCoy, Corbin Roach and Kendrick Webster. The Devils continued to be relentless in scoring 3 more goals in the 2nd period from Sami Douglas-Najem, Trevor Hoskin and Connor Hunt. Kendrick Webster picked up an assist on the Hoskin goal. Neither team scored in the third period as the Devils net minder; Andrew Munro picked up the shutout victory. The win put the Devils back in the series and forced a 6th and final game on March 14. The Devils will face the Coyotes at the Elgin Borrow Centre with the puck drop scheduled at 630 pm.
