FOLEY BUS LINES MINOR PEEWEES EARN SILVER AT OMHA CHAMPIONSHIP!
The Foley Bus Lines Minor Peewee Red Devils finished the year with a tremendous effort at the OMHA AAA Championships.  The event was hosted in their home town in Belleville at the Yardman Arena this past weekend with action starting Friday morning and finals at 12pm on Sunday.

The Red Devils opened the tournament on Friday morning against the Whitby Wildcats.  The Devils scored early in the game with two goals in the first period from Isaac Brown and Trevor Hoskin.  Liam Filip assisted on the Brown goal.  The Devils added another in the second period from Hoskin in a pass from Blake Ellis to take a three goal lead.  The Devils would add two more in the third period from Aaron Brown and Cooper Matthews. Owen Gibson assisted on the Brown goal.  Whitby would also add three goals in the third period, but the Devils would win this won by a score of 5 to 3.  Andrew Munro was in the Devils net.

In Game two the Bus Liners faced the tenacious Buffalo Regals.  The Regals scored first, but the Devils evened things up on a goal from Cole Campbell with the assist going to Trevor Hoskin.  The lone Devil goal wasn’t enough as the Regals scored two more goals to take the game from the Devils by a score of 3 to 1.  Corbin Votary was in the Devils cage.

On Saturday morning the Devils faced the Burlington Eagles in game 3.  The Bus Liners came out early and potted two in the first period from Kendrick Webster and Donovan McCoy.  Trevor Hoskin, Blake Ellis and Liam Filip assisted on the first period goals.  The Devils scored twice and the Eagles once, in the second period as Liam Filip scored on feeds from Trevor Hoskin and Kendrick Webster.  As well, Blake Ellis scored on assists from Donovan McCoy and Kendrick Webster.  The third period was scoreless as the Devils hung on for the 4 to 1 win. Andrew Munro was solid in the Devils net.

In game 4, the Devils needed a win to secure a spot in the Gold Medal Game on Sunday.  This would not be an easy task as they faced the undefeated Ajax-Pickering Raiders.  The Devils came out strong, scoring two goals in the first period with Aaron Brown and Corbin Roach finding the back of the net.  The Raiders scored two of their own in the second period to even the game going into the third period.  Kendrick Webster would score the go-ahead goal in the third period, assisted by Trevor Hoskin.  Liam Filip put the Raiders away with an empty net goal in the last seconds of the game to secure the 4 to 2 win.  Andrew Munro took the win in the Devils net.

In the Championship Gold Medal match, the Foley Bus Liners once again faced the Ajax-Pickering Raiders for all the “goods”.  The Red Devils would score first as Trevor Hoskin lit the lamp on a nice behind the net pass from Corbin Roach.  The Raiders would add a single to end the first period in a 1 to 1 tie.  The Raiders added two more in the second period to take a two goal lead until Kendrick Webster scored with 1 second remaining on the clock.  The Raiders added another goal in the third to regain a two goal lead.  The Devils fought back and scored with 21 seconds left after pulling their goalie, but it wasn’t enough as the Devils fell to the Raiders by a score of 4 to 3.  Andrew Munro was in the Devils net and assisted the Devils in earning the Silver Medal.
