CrossFit Belleville Bantams Advance to Second Round
Game 3 – Quinte (8) – Kingston (2)

The Red Devil Bantams started the game slowly against the Kingston Frontenacs on Wednesday as they were scored upon during the first shift. Good teams find ways to win and good teams bounce back or have a “push back” shift and this is exactly what the Devils did on the second shift just seconds later as they tied the game up.

The CrossFit Belleville Bantams were shorthanded once again with Keegan Hunt and Ryan Loiselle out with a suspension and an upper body injury; both players were missed by their team mates heading into the third game of the playoffs and called up Minor Bantam Isaac Langdon to help the squad. The team welcomed back hard hitting and puck moving; Carden Guerin who finished serving his suspension.

At the end of the first period it was 2-1 for Quinte as they never relinquished the lead after the first few seconds of the game. Brennan Bush was in net and played extremely well while giving his team the confidence it needed to carry the game into Kingston’s end.

The goals were scored by Jake Campbell(2), Michael Andrews, Dalton Bancroft, Daniel Panetta, Zach Uens, Nolan Seto and Emmet Pierce and assists went to Emmet Pierce(4), Logan White(2), Daniel Panetta, Jake Campbell, Dalton Bancroft, Cameron Supryka and Michael Andrews(2).

Next up for the CrossFit Belleville Bantams will be the Barrie Colts, a team the Red Devils have not fared well against. The Bantams have managed only 1 victory in the last six games against the Colts stretching back over the last two ETA seasons and playoffs last year.

The past has past and only the next series is what matters. Sometimes a team just needs to figure things out on their own while gaining control of their destiny, one shift at a time.......Something this team began to figure out 15 games ago.....#DefenceWinsChampionships. The Red Devils schedule for the second round of the playoffs is not known but stay tuned to the Team’s Website for further game details.
