Battling Through a Tough Stretch
There is very little predictable about sport. Although it may be cliche 'that's why hockey isn't played on paper' may have summarized the KKP Minor Midget results in the past weeks. Including exhibition, league and tournament play the Young Gentlemen Devils stand at 13-4-3 after their first twenty games; they have learned, they have conquered, they have grown and they are hungry for more!

Loss to YSE (7-1)
Since the strong showing at the Wendy Dufton the Devils have battled illness, injury and suspension but that is all part of a physical, competitive game. After losing narrowly to York Simcoe at the Dufton the Devils were eager to challenge the Express in there one regular season game at Saint Andrew's College. It did not go the way of the Devils and they dropped a 7-1 decision to YSE. The lone goal was scored by Matt Sherwin and helped by Nate Dunkley.

Tie with Central (4-4)
Some times two teams just seem to match up evenly despite their differences. In the second meeting of the regular season the Devils Looked to be in control again but it was late goal by Central to steal a point from the Devils again and end, like the first meeting, in a draw. Scoring for the Devils in this one were Zarichny, Boomhower, Dunkley and Roy with assists going to Citrullo and Suzuki.

Win against Kingston (3-2)
Kingston came in to this game in Devil Land undefeated but they would not leave that way. Kingston, the team to beat in the East so far this year were 5-0-1 coming into this match-up with the Devils but it was Quinte's #TeamFirst play especially their brand of team defense that went the distance in this game. Bring the three required goals for the Devils were Baker, Dunkley and Poole with his third and league leading game winning goal.
Helping out with those goals were Crowe, Baker, Sherwin and Boomhower.

Loss to Richmond Hill (7-2)
Although the game seemed to be going the Devil's way holding a 2-1 lead after one the Coyotes feasted in the second and third cashing in on all their chances. There were two empty net goals to cap off the 5-2 lead Richmond secured. The first goal for the Devil's side was by Joe Roy, with assists to our Kingston friends Nick Zarichny and Hunter Leonard and the second goal went to Dawson Baker with assists to Nate Dunkley and Theo Citrullo.

Win against Ajax Pickering (2-1)
The Men in Black picked up two points on the road at the hands of the Raiders. Nick Zarichny scored again with help from the hard work of Brandon Grills and the determination of Devin Morrison and Dawson Baker scored the game winner with the help of a great bunch of screens unassisted.

The Devils continue their 2015-2016 campaign and close out a tough October schedule with two road games against the Generals from Oshawa and the Toros of Clarington. As always follow the Devils on Twitter @MMidgetDevils and here! Let's hear it #DevilNation Go Devils Go!!!
