Preseason ends with a Tie
Sean Storr allows only one in preseason tie.
The McInroy Maines Major Midget Devils ended the preseason schedule with a tie against the Whitby Wildcats. Whitby opened the scoring in the first period, but Sean Storr closed the door after that, turning aside over 30 more Whitby shots on net. The Devils managed to battle back in the third, on a gorgeous three way passing play involving Nick Hoey, Brock Bronson and preseason scoring leader, Dawson Ellis finishing the play off.
The Devils have an important week of practice and will be opening the regular season Friday night at the RCAF vs. Oshawa at 8:00. The boys are on the road Sunday visiting the Markham Waxers for the only time this year to complete the weekend set. With the team now set with the addition of forward Greg Thomas, training camp comes to a close for another season.
