On January 11, 2017 The Vanderlaan Building Products Minor Bantams traveled to Central Ontario to take on the Wolves. The Devils opened the scoring part way through the first with a goal by Ethan Broek, assisting was Aiden Treverton and Daniel Michaud. The Wolves owned the second period by taking the lead 2-1. Late in the third Quinte managed to tie it up with a goal from Daniel Michaud, assisted by Zack Brooks and Gavin Camp. With minutes remaining Nathanial Burelle found the back of the net for the winning goal. Assisting was Clayton Farrow and Conner Brooks. Ethan Fraser was in net for the win. Ethan Broek was awarded player of the game.
On January 13th the team traveled to Buffalo to participate in the Buffalo Cup Tournament. The Devils would have difficulty the first day of the tournament losing 4-1 to the Buffalo Regals and 5-0 to the Rochester Monarchs. On Saturday Quinte turned things around beating Esmark Stars 2-0 and the Hamilton Jr Bulldogs 5-4. Unfortunately it was not enough for them to move on to the quarter finals.
On Saturday January 21, 2016 the Vanderlaan Minor Bantams hosted the Ajax-Pickering Raiders. Ajax would end the first period with a 1-0 lead and did not look back. They would go on to score four goals in the second period. The Devils would manage two goals scored by Connor Brooks and Ethan Broek. Helpers coming from Issac Uens, Clayton Farrow (2) and Daniel Michaud. The Raiders win with a final score of 5-2. Dixon Grimes was in net.
On Sunday January 22, 2017 the Devils traveled to Kingston to take on the Junior Frontenacs. After battling back and forth for three periods the game would end in a 0-0 tie. Ethan Fraser was in net.
