FOLEY BUS LINES MINOR BANTAMS IN A BATTLE WITH KINGSTON………..
In OMHA Quarter Final action, the Foley Bus Lines Minor Bantams end the weekend with an “even” series against the Kingston Jr. Frontenacs.  Both games resulted in ties, evening the series at 2 pts apiece.

On Saturday Feb 24, the Red Devils travelled to Kingston.  The Frontenacs came out strong in the first period with 2 unanswered goals to take the lead going into the 2nd period.  The Devils scored in the second frame to pull within 1, as Sami Douglas-Najem scored on feeds from Owen Beck and Connor Hunt.  The Devils evened the game in the third period when Cooper Matthews scored on an assist from Owen Beck.  Regulation time ended in a 2 – 2 tie and both teams faced a 10 min sudden death overtime period. In end to end action, both teams failed to score resulting in 1 point awarded to each team in the series.

On Sunday Feb 25, the Devils hosted the Frontenacs at the QSWC in game 2 of the quarter final series.  The Devils opened the scoring in the 2nd period, on a goal by Owen Beck, assisted by Cooper Matthews.  The Frontenacs evened the game, late in the 2nd and both teams were tied going into the third.  Cooper Matthews gave the Devils the lead as he scored on an assist from Kellen Dostaler.  Kellen Dostaler provided another goal to make the game 3 – 1, on assists from Parker Steward and Owen Beck.  The Frontenacs were far from finished as they scored two more goals to even the game at 3, in the last few minutes of the third period.  Both teams were heading into another 10 minute overtime period.  Neither team scored in the sudden death period, resulting in another tie, with each team picking up 1 point. 

The two ties have left the series tied at 2 points apiece and they will meet again this Wednesday for game 3 at the QSWC. Puck drops at 7:45 pm.
