Weekly Report Jan. 29-Feb. 4
The Madison Excavating Minor Peewees secured another 2 points in regular season play as they hosted the Whitby Wildcats this past Saturday at QSWC.
Game action took place at 2:15 on the FDC rink at the QSWC as the Devils welcomed the Whitby Wildcats for their final match up of the year. Quinte wasted no time opening up the scoring in the first period with a shot from Jared Langdon that found the back of the Wildcats net, on the set up from Beckett Ewart and Ben Vreugdenhil. Ty Therrien would add another before the end of the first, assisted by Ben Danford and Brody Partridge to make it 2-0. Whitby would score their only goal of the game early in the second to make it a 2-1 game, but Langdon would tuck another past their netminder shortly after to regain the 2 goal lead. Assisting on the second period goal was Rylan Reid. The Devils would cushion their lead to make it a 4-1 game in the third with a goal from Vreugdenhil, assisted by Carson Campbell and Landon Wright. Mike McIvor was solid in the net throughout the game for the Devils.
On Deck: The Madison Excavating Minor Peewees will play their last regular season game this upcoming Saturday at 2:15 at QSWC. The Devils will also host their sponsor appreciation event for the team that afternoon.
