The Madison Excavating Minor Peewees started the first round of playoffs with 2 solid wins over the Oshawa Generals this past weekend.

Game 1 had the Devils play host to the Generals at the QSWC on Saturday afternoon. It would be the Devils who would open up the scoring in the first period as Liam Philip would take the shot on the set up from Beckett Ewart. The second would see Quinte add to their lead in the game as Ty Therrien and Ewart would add one each.  Assisting in the second were Landon Wright, Carson Campbell, Braedyn Rogers and Philip. The last set would remain scoreless for both teams and Mike McIvor would record the shut out in net for the Devils.

Sunday had the Devils on the road to the Legends Centre in Oshawa for game 2. Once again it was the Devils on the scoreboard first with a shot from the point by Ben Danford, assisted by Wright. The second period was all Quinte as they poured on the offense, scoring 3 goals in the set to give them a 4-0 lead going into the third. Scoring in the second were Jared Langdon, Wright and Thomas Kuipers. Assisting were Philip, Langdon, Gage Butcher and Rylan Reid. The third would see the Generals score their only goal of the game as the Devils went on the add another 3 to the board in their favour for a 7-1 final. Goals in the third came from Langdon(2) and Philip. Assists from Danford(2), Wright, Brody Partridge and Rogers. Dean Spry was strong between the pipes for Quinte.
