Toronto Titans Early Bird Prospect Tournament Sept 6-9

The Free Flow Petroleum Minor Midget team has first games of the season

The Free Flow Petroleum Minor Midget Quinte Red Devils kicked off their season with four games at the Toronto Titans Early Bird Prospect Tournament.  The Devils faced off against the Waterloo Wolves in their first game, losing 4-2.  Goals were scored by Jett Butler and Nathaniel Burelle with assists from Ben White (2) and Erik MacNiel. Ethan Fraser was in net. Day two saw the boys play Mississauga Rebels. A very physical game resulted in a 2-1 loss. The lone goal was scored by Daniel Michaud assists by Erik MacNiel and Luke LaPalm.  Alex Lucas was in net. Next the Devils faced off against Amherst Knights resulting in a 7-1 win. Goal scorers were Ben White (2), Daniel Michaud (2), Brady Darrach, Luke LaPalm and Jett Butler. Assists came from Luke LaPalm (3), Ethan Broek (2), Jett Butler (2), Daniel Michaud (2), Zack Brooks, Nathaniel Burelle and Erik MacNiel. Alex Lucas was between the pipes.On the final day of their tournament the boys played the Oakville Rangers. Oakville opened up the scoring in the second period but Quinte quickly followed suit with a goal by Jett Butler with assists by Hunter Hall and Daniel Michaud. In the third period Quinte sealed the win with a goal by Connor Brooks and assist from Brady Darrach. Final score 2-1.  Ethan Fraser played net for the victory.  The Minor Midgets finished the tournament with 2 wins and 2 losses.  Good luck to the team this season!
