2 games and 2 wins this week for the Foley Bus Lines QRD Bantams.
OMHA Team of the Month!
The Foley Bus Lines Major Bantams have been named Ontario Minor Hockey Association team of the month for January. This award is sponsored by Gatorade and awarded by the OMHA to a team that reaches an extraordinary level of excellence. The Red Devils have been featured on the OMHA’s Twitter and Instagram accounts.
This group of boys, several of which have played together for many years, and others who are new teammates, are working very hard to achieve their goals set out at the beginning of the current season.
Each year our team comes up with a saying and this year they chose Team Success = Individual Success.
Hockey is a TEAM sport and you can’t achieve your individual goals without your Teammates, Line mates Parents and Coaches. Our team works very hard on and off the ice. From shooting pucks and stickhandling at home, to dryland training, to reviewing game video, or even renting ice on their own to improve skating. These are just a few examples of the extra work these players are willing to put forth to be part of a successful TEAM!
With 53 games played to date the boys are 40 – 6 – 7 with 241 GF and 88 GA. They are currently ranked 5th in the Province and 12th in Canada. They have clinched a playoff position and finished 1st in the ETA. But they have higher expectations to come!!!
On Tuesday the Red Devils travelled to Kingston to take on the Frontenacs. The final score was Quinte 4 & Kingston 2.
The boys travelled again on Friday to Oshawa. The Devils outscored the Generals 3-1 to take the win.
The last regular season game is in Lindsay on Sunday the 17th against Central Ontario.
