Peewee Weekly Report Sept. 17-23
The Madison Excavating Peewees hit the ice in league play again this weekend with a busy 3 game schedule. The Devils came out on top with 3 strong wins.

After a tough first game of the season loss to Clarington, the Devils were ready for a hockey packed weekend as they were back on the road to face the Petes in Peterborough this past Friday night. The Petes took an early lead but it would be Landon Wright on the pass from Braedyn Rogers to tie up the game in the first.  The Petes would once again take the lead in the game but Gage Butcher would answer back with an unassisted shorthanded goal before the end of the first. Thomas Kuipers, also shorthanded, scored early in the second to give the Devils the lead. Jared Langdon, assisted by Caleb Martin and Carson Campbell would add another in the second to make it 4-2. Rogers would make it 5-2 in the third on the pass from Deacon Ellis. Dean Spry took the win between the pipes.

The Devils would go up the road to Rama to take on the North Central Predators on Saturday. Once again the Devils came out with the win. A quiet first period would open up to a goal filled second as Beckett Ewart opened up the scoring on the set up from Brody Partridge. Shortly after Kuipers would add another for the Quinte, assisted by Partridge and Martin. Ty Therrien would get his first of the second, assisted by Ewart and Langdon before the end of the second. The Predators would battle to score 2 in the third but it would not be enough as Kuipers added an empty netter in the dying seconds of the third to take the 4-2 victory. Mike McIvor was in net.

Sunday had the Devils face off against the Colts in Barrie to round up their road trip weekend. Quinte scored a few quick goals in the first to take an early lead. Ewart, assisted by Langdon and Therrien hit the scoreboard first, followed soon after by Partridge on the set up from Ben Vreugdenhil and Ewart. Kuipers would add 2 more in the game, with assists from Vreugdenhil, Langdon and Partridge(2) to give the Devils the 4-1 win. Spry was in net for the win.

On Deck; The Madison Excavating Peewees will be back in action on Saturday in Kingston to take on the Jr. Fronts at 12:45 and will host their home opener on the Yardmen on Sunday at 2pm versus the Ajax-Pickering Raiders.
