Peewee Weekly Report Jan. 14-20
The Madison Excavating Peewees were on the road this past weekend to face the Whitby Wildcats and the Clarington Toros.
Saturday was a match up in Whitby verses the Wildcats. The first set would end scoreless and it would be the Wildcats who struck first in the
second period to take a 1-0 lead. Quinte tied the game before the end of the second with a goal from Beckett Ewart, assisted by Ben Vreugdenhil.
Neither team could add to the board in the third and the Devils settled for the tie. Mike McIvor was in net.
The Devils were on the road again Sunday in Clarington to face the Toros. Quinte was caught off guard as the Toros would score 2 unanswered goals
in the first and another in the second to have a 3-0 lead going into the third. The Devils would score one in the last set as Jared Langdon, assisted
by Vreugdenhil and Thomas Kuipers would make it 3-1. However, Clarington added another and Quinte succumbed to the 4-1 loss. Dean Spry was in net for the loss.
