Peewee Weekly Report Feb. 24
The Madison Excavating QRD Peewees finished up the regular season in first place in the east and started playoffs this weekend against Central Ontario Wolves.The Devils now lead the series 2 -0 with game 3 scheduled for this upcoming Wednesday.



Game one of the playoffs was Saturday at the CAA Arena. The Devils scored early in the game with a goal from Liam Philip, assisted by Brody Partridge. The Wolves tied it up before the end of the first set to tie the game 1-1. Thomas Kuipers would score the lone goal of the second to give the Devils the 2-1 lead, assisted by Partridge. The third would remain scoreless for both teams until Quinte was able to add an empty netter in the dying seconds of the period. Scoring in the third was Jared Langdon, assisted by Partridge. Mike McIvor was solid in net for the win
 
Game two had the Devils on the road to Little Britain to take on the Wolves in their home rink. The game was a tough physical battle back and forth throughout the first. The Wolves struck first on a lucky goal in the second but the Devils answered back soon after with a goal from Kuipers, assisted by Ben Danford. Late in the third Quinte would add the go ahead goal from Langdon and assisted by  Philip and Caleb Martin, to make it a 2-1 game in their favour. The Wolves worked hard to the dying minutes but Dean Spry stood tall between the pipes and held on to the lead for the win.
 
Game three of the series will take place this Wednesday at the CAA Arena at 7:30pm where the Devils hope to close up the series against the Wolves.
