On October 31st, the Rodgers Family of Madoc, lost their home to a devastating fire. Hockey is not always about the competition.
It is also about providing youth with life skills to further their growth as individuals and valued community members. On November 12th, the team's co-manager, Shawna Rashotte, organized the team to work with Boston Pizza staff on a fundraiser for the Rodgers Family. The boys had a great time greeting customers at Boston Pizza. Through their fundraising efforts, personal contributions from the team and family members and 50/50 draws, the Quinte Minor Atom team was pleased to present a cheque to the Rodgers Family at Sunday's home game. This is a true example of team work both on and off the ice!
