Midgets were able to grab two of a possible four points this past weekend in
ETA action. First up on Saturday the home town Devils hosted the first place
York-Simcoe Express which saw the locals fall behind by a 2-0 deficit by the
middle of the second frame.
The Devils fought back to tie it in the latter half of the second only to give up another two in the third before scoring one late and then running out of time to ultimately lose the contest 4-3. Sunday, the Devils looked to avenge Saturday’s loss by welcoming in the Ajax-Pickering Raiders to the CAA arena. The QRD’s got on the board first with two in the first period and went on to kill twelve minutes in penalties while scoring once more in the second and adding a shorty in the third to take the contest with a shutout victory 4-0. Next Action….The boys hit the road for their annual northern swing through Barrie Saturday by taking on the Colts before heading to Rama Sunday to take on the North Central Predators.
