Successful Northern Swing
The Foley Bus Lines Minor
Midget Devils hit the road this past weekend for their annual overnighter
versus the Barrie Colts and North Central Predators. In game one on Saturday
versus the Colts, the Devils wasted no time as they got out to an early 1-0 lead
on the first shift of the game on route to a two goal per period pace to take
the contest with a 6-0 final.
After a night spent in Barrie, the 04’s headed north to Rama to take on the Preds in an Sunday afternoon contest. The referee’s apparently wanted to be part of this one as they handed out 70 minutes in penalties in this special teams affair. Fortunately the Devils PK held the fort and kept the contest tied 1-1 until the middle of the game when the Devils went on to score five unanswered to take the game with a 7-2 finish and securing four more crucial points in the standings. Next Action…..The QRD’s host the Clarington Toros in a spooky Halloween match this Thursday 8:30pm at the Mackay before hitting the road Saturday to finish up their 3 game season series with the Ajax-Pickering Raiders in the Pickering Delaney arena @ 4pm.
