Late Season Movement in Standings to Determine Playoff Match-ups
While the Foley Bus Lines
Minor Midget Devils were able to lock up a first round bye in OMHA playoffs,
movement throughout the ETA standings in the last few games of the season will
make it interesting for playoff seeding moving forward. Unfortunately this past
Saturday the Devils missed an opportunity to grab that first seed by falling to
the visiting York-Simcoe Express.
The Devils fell behind by two in the first and got it to within one a couple times before putting forth a big push in the third only to be turned away by Express goaltender over and over till the final buzzer loss of 4-2. Sunday, the Foley boys were back on the road in Lindsay to take on the Central Ontario Wolves in a Sunday night game. QRD got on the board early and often in this one building a five goal lead before ultimately taking the contest with a 6-1 victory. Next action……With another crack a grabbing that #1 seed come playoff time, the 2004 Devils hope to avoid bad weather this weekend for two travel games to Richmond Hill Saturday and Oshawa Sunday.
