Weekly Report - Season Opening
The Minor Bantams opened their season facing their OMHA gold medal rivals Markham Waxers at QSWC. The Devils worked throughout the game to shake the rust off but it was Markham who took the lead in the first. Quinte scored their first of the season and the game in the second period. Scoring for the Devils was Braedyn Rogers, assisted by Ben Danford and Jared Langdon. QRD could not add anymore to the board and took a 3-1 loss. Mike McIvor was between the pipes. Quinte hosted the Oshawa Generals for a midweek match up at their RCAF home ice on Sept. 18. Despite many attempts, the Devils were stoned by the Gens goalie and were forced to take their second loss of the season with a 2-0. Glen McInnes minded the net for the Devils.
