Weekly Report Oct. 14-20
The Madison Excavating Minor Bantams took 3 of a possible 4 points in regular season play this past weekend.

Saturday had the Devils in the road to Markham to take on their OMHA rivals. It was the Waxers who hit the scoreboard in the second period after a scoreless first set. With the time winding down in the period and Quinte down by two, the Devils poured on the offence late in the set to tie it up. Scoring in the second for the Devils were Ben Danford and Jared Langdon. Assists came from Langdon and Carson Campbell. The third period would be a back and forth battle with the Waxers once again taking the lead with minutes left in the game. The Devils would not be deterred and with a sixth attacker on the ice Ben Vreugdenhil found the back of the Markham net with 23 seconds left on the clock. Assisting on the tying goal was Nolan Donnelly and Beckett Ewart. Glen McInnes was in net for the tie. Sunday saw the Devils play host to the Clarington Toros. It would be the Toros to score first early in the game but it would be their only point of the game as Quinte dominated the game, taking a 6-1 victory. Landon Wright would score the tying and go ahead goals in the first set. The first assisted by Ewart and Donnelly, the second unassisted.  Vreugdenhil would add another before the end of the first on the set up from Ewart and Deacon Ellis. The second would see Ewart and Braedyn Rogers each add to the scoreboard. Assisting in the second were Donnelly, Rogers, Langdon and Danford. Gage Butcher would add the final goal of the game, assisted by Vreugdenhil and Rogers. Mike McIvor was between the pipes for the win. The Madison Excavating Minor Bantams will be in Ajax to face the Raiders this upcoming Saturday and home on Sunday at RCAF to host the York-Simcoe Express.
