The World Elite Training Atom’s traveled to Barrie to face off against their rivals, the Barrie
Jr. Colts.
Barrie got the first goal, but it didn’t take long for Ryan Foley to steal the puck and fire it in the net. It was a competitive game, and no one was willing to budge. The final score was 1-1, with Lilyana Reid in net.
On Sunday, the team played the North Central Predators. Foley got things started at the end of the first period, followed by another goal at the start of the second. Quinte was up 2-0. Wyatt Whalen popped in a rebound and Maclean Chisholm put one past the goalie to end the second period 4-1. Quinte wasn’t finished yet. Nate Rashotte scored in the third period and Foley sunk another one for a hat trick! Keegan Goulah’s one timer finished off the game. Assists went to: Camden Sloan (x2), Blake Munnings, Gabriel Davis, Rashotte, Chisholm, and Jake Gawley. Quinte wins 7-3, with Charlie Vos in net.
Up next, Quinte vs. the Whitby Wildcats on Saturday in Whitby and then the Central Ontario Wolves on Sunday in Madoc.
