The Foley Bus Lines QRD U9 AAA Team had a strong showing at The Barrie Tournament This past weekend
The Foley Bus Lines QRD U9AAA Team travelled to Alliston this weekend for their first full ice game action, at the Barrie Tournament which took place at The Nottawasaga Inn Resort.

The team were very excited to hit the ice on Friday morning, and put on a display of all their hard work, in a 14-2 win over The Burlington Eagles. Max Norton and Kade Whelan both scored a hat trick in the game. Evan Andrews, Ethan Dowling and Noah Gilchrist all added a pair of goals each, while William Beebe and Graydon Tucker each added singles. Assisting on the goals; Andrews (3), Mac Brown (3), Kash Nelson (3), Whelan (2), Gilchrist (2), Linden Ludolph (2), Ryker Thompson (2), and Ben Williams. Lily Groeneveld was sharp in net for the win. Player of the game was Kade Whelan.

In their second game of the day, it was a battle of the Devils. This time it was the very strong team from Duffield who skated away with a 4-2 win. Jaxon Elrick and Ethan Dowling did the scoring for the Red Devils. Kash Nelson had the only assist in the game. Malkin Courtney made several key saves in the game for his team and was named player of the game.

The Red Devils had no trouble finding the back of the net on Saturday morning in a 13-1 win over The North London Nationals. Kash Nelson had a hat trick in the game, while Max Norton, William Beebe, and Kade Whelan all scored a pair of goals each. Evan Andrews, Nathan Wain, Ben Williams and Graydon Tucker all added singles. Lily Groeneveld was between the pipes for the win. Max Norton was names player of the game.

In their final game of the round robin, The Devils put up 15 more goals on their way to a 15-1 win over The Oshawa Generals. Max Norton and Kash Nelson each had another Hat trick in the game. Also scoring for the Red Devils was Whelan (2), Beebe (2), Dowling (2), Elrick, Gilchrist and Tucker. Assists; Whelan (2), Ludolph (2), Oliver Hodgins, Elrick (2), Andrews (2), Beebe, Nelson, Dowling, Wain, Gilchrist and Tucker. Malkin Courtney earned the win between the pipes. Mac Brown was named player of the game.

On Sunday morning, The Red Devils would face the Vaughan Rangers in quarter final action. In a hard fought, back and forth tilt, it was The Devils who came out on top by a score of 5-4. Kash Nelson scored a pair of goals, while Jaxon Elrick, Noah Gilchrist and Kade Whelan also lit the lamp in the win. Assists in the game; Evan Andrews, Nelson, Whalen. Malkin Courtney was stellar in net and Kash Nelson was named player of the game.

With a short turn around, the Devils were up against The Duffield Devils once again, in the semi finals. It was all Duffield in this one, as The Red Devils had a hard time finding their legs in the 7-0 loss. Malkin Courtney was named player of the game. Congrats to The Duffield Devils who cruised through the finals to win the tournament.

The Coaching staff could not be more proud of their team this weekend. They really came together as a team, and were fantastic both on and off the ice.
