Regular Season Starts with a loss and a tie
Sunday Oct 3rd vs Barrie Jr Colts
The Gillespie Tree Services QRD U10’s started their regular season with a home game vs a strong Barrie squad. Barrie came ready to play and seemed to dictate the play early. QRD ran into some penalty trouble and fell behind 3-0. However, a great goaltending display put on by Hayden Tripp helped the team stay in the game. The final score was 5-1 in favour of the Jr Colts but the team worked hard and displayed great teamwork.

Saturday Oct 9th vs Peterborough Petes
The Gillespie Tree Services QRD U10’s hosted the Peterborough Petes on Saturday afternoon. This was a very good back and forth battle that saw the game finish in a 6-6 tie. The Petes scored with 6.7 seconds left in the 3rd period to force the tie. Goaltender Logan Skutovich made some timely saves and helped the team secure their first point in the standings. Kade Osterhout led the offensive charge with 3 goals while the team worked hard and look to continue growing as a unit.
