Open the Season with a 4-4 tie with Markham
The U13 Devils were excited to be back in action as they opened their season in Madoc against the Markham Waxers. The Waxers scored first, but Quinte fired back with a goal by Nate Rashotte to tie the game. A minute later, Galen O’Shea ripped one past the goalie from the point. After Jake Gawley hit the back of the net, Quinte was up 3-1. The period would end with another goal by Gawley, assisted by Rashotte. It was a hard fought second period, but the Waxers tallied three to tie the game 4-4. After that, neither team was willing to budge and Lily Reid took the 4-4 tie in net.
The fans were happy to be back in their home barn cheering on the U13’s. The team hits the road next weekend and face off against the North Central Predators and the Barrie Jr. Colts.
