Strong showing at Wendy Dufton Thanksgiving Tournament...
The Pita Pit U15 Red Devils, had a successful weekend in London over the Thanksgiving weekend! They held their own against the Ottawa 67’s (tournament finalists) losing with an empty net goal in the third period, ending the game 5-2. They moved on to play the London Junior Knights but came up short with a 4-1 loss.
They shook off the first day and came back strong to win the next two games against the Burlington Eagles with a score of 3-2 and Chatham-Kent 9-5. The Chatham-Kent game left the team with injuries and suspensions and only 11 skaters able to play the semi-final game Sunday morning against the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs. It ended the weekend with a 4-2 loss but the weekend brought the boys together as a team and they found some momentum that will no doubt, help bring them some wins as the regular season gets going.
Up next, the Red Devils take on Richmond Hill for their second regular season game on Wednesday October 20th, at 7:30pm.
