The
team won their last regular season game on Sunday to go 24-0 on the year.
The Red Devils played in Richmond Hill on Sunday and won by a
score of 6-1. Quinte goals were scored by Evan Andrews (2), Matt Dawson, Kash
Nelson, Cohen Reid and Max Norton. Picking up assists were Ethan Dowling, Will
Beebe and Noah Gilchrist. Lily Groeneveld stood tall between the pipes, picking
up the win in net.
Below are a few stats for the team to be proud of.
Evan Andrews led the league in scoring and Quinte showed their
depth with four other players in the top ten. Noah Gilchrist 3rd,
Kash Nelson 4th, Will Beebe tied for 5th and Max Norton
10th.
The team led the league in goals with 168 and our back end and
goalies showed their strength leading the league with the lowest goals against
with 39.
Team discipline also shone through with Quinte earning the
lowest penalty minutes in the entire league.
ON DECK: The Foley Bus Lines U10 Red Devils start their playoffs
with a weekend on the road. They play the Markham Waxers on Saturday and are in
Orillia on Sunday to take on the North Central Predators.
