The Bonn Law QRD U12 closed out 2022 with three more wins in
league play this weekend. The Red Devils finish the 1st half of the season with
an impressive 17-0-1 record, for 1st place in the ETA.
On Friday evening, The Red Devils travelled West down the 401 for a tilt with The Clarington Toros. After scoring just one goal in the first period, The Devils offence exploded, scoring four goals in the second, and five in the third, on their way to a 10-0 win over The Toros. Miller Nicholson, Mason Whalen, Austin Pettey and Shea Teather all scored 2 goals each in the game. Also lighting the lamp in the game was Edmund Dowling and Zachary Miedema. Adding assists; Nicholson (3), Pettey (2), Whalen (2), Oliver McCulloch (2), Teather (2), Thomas Marsden and Cameron Stevens. Matt Travers stopped everything that came his way to earn the shutout.
The Red Devils were at home on Saturday, to host The Richmond Hill Coyotes. There were six different goal scorers in the game, as The Devils skated to a 6-1 win. Goals were scored by Gullage, Teather, Stevens, Grant, Nicholson, and Plummer. Chipping in with helpers on the goals; Gullage (2), Hughes, Miedema, Teather, Pettey and Whalen. Dax Sage was sharp between the pipes for the win.
In their last game of 2022, The Red Devils would travel to Markham to face the Waxers for the first time this season. Once again, the Devils would score ten goals in the game, and the team defence went to work, limiting the Waxers chances, while Matt Travers picked up his third consecutive shutout in the
10-0 win. Brody Grant scored a hat trick in the game, while James Gullage and Miller Nicholson each added a pair. Also lighting the lamp was Noah Hughes, Mason Whalen and Austin Pettey. Assists went to; Gullage (3), Whalen (2), Nicholson (2), Grant, Marsden, McCulloch, Grant, Hughes and Pettey.
