The Bonn Law
QRD U12 Team are off to a great start in the playoffs, after winning both games
on the road this past weekend.
On Saturday,
The Red Devils headed north to take on The Barrie Colts. The boys were firing
on all cylinders in this one, as they scored 5 goals in each period, on their
way to a 15-1 win. Zachary Miedema had a hat trick in the game. Also lighting
the lamp; Hughes (2), Stevens (2), Pettey, Teather, Whalen, Nicholson, Plummer,
Goulah, Gullage and Grant. Assists; Whalen (4), Grant (3), Stevens (3), Gullage
(2), Goulah (2), Pettey (2), Hughes (2), Plummer (2), Marsden (2), McRae. Dax Sage
was solid in net for the win, and Bryce McRae was named player of the game.
On Sunday,
the team would face The North Central Predators at Rama. The boys came out
flying once again and put 56 shots on the Preds goalie on their way to a 7-1 win
in their second playoff game. Oliver McCulloch had a hat trick in this one and
was named player of the game. Nicholson, Hughes, Whalen and Teather would round
out the scoring in the game. Chipping in with helpers on the goals; Nicholson
(2), Teather (2), Whalen, Hughes, Goulah, Grant, Gullage, McRae. Matt Travers
was sharp between the pipes for the win.
