The U15 Free Flow Petroleum Red Devils Pick up 5 of 6 Points this Week

On Wednesday night the Devils lined up for a mid-week tilt against the Central Ontario Wolves at the CAA arena. Kolby Craig got on the scoreboard first with an assist going to Ryan Kinghan. Jake Campbell, assisted by Kinghan and Tavin MacDonald would hit the net, giving the Devils a two-goal lead through the first period of play. The Wolves cut their deficit in half, scoring the only goal in the second period. Liam Campbell, assisted by Matthew Airhart, gave Quinte an insurance goal in the third period, while Cohen Bedore held down Quinte’s net for the 3-1 win.

On Saturday, the U15s hosted the North Central Predators for a penalty-filled game. On a breakaway, J. Campbell assisted by Kinghan, would give the Devils an early lead. The Predators responded with a goal of their own at the beginning of the second period. Assisted by Airhart and L. Campbell, Jack Foley hit the net to regain the lead. Kinghan, assisted by J. Campbell and Blake Brown would add another, also in the second frame. Despite defending through three 5 on 3 penalty kills, the Devils could not hang on to win it. Two unanswered Predators’ goals in the third ended the match in a tie, Otsirakatste Brant claiming the point in net.

Sunday, the U15s traveled to Markham for an evening match against the Waxers, picking up a nice win on the road. Soring for the Devils were Jacob Moore (2), Airhart, Macdonald, J. Campbell, and L. Campbell. Assists came from L. Campbell (3), Airhart (2), Foley (2), and Noah Lesser, with Bedore in net for the 6-2 win.

ON DECK: The U15 Free Flow Petroleum Red Devils are on the road Monday to take on the Whitby Wildcats for the first time this season. Saturday, they host the Peterborough Petes at 2pm, QSWC (Mackay). Sunday, the Devils travel to Richmond Hill to play the Coyotes
