QRD U18 Weekly Report Feb. 21, 2023
The McInroy Maines Quinte Red Devils U18 team took the first win of playoffs for the season as they hosted the Richmond Hill Coyotes.
The Devils welcomed the Coyotes to the QSWC this past Saturday for game one of the playoffs. While the first period would end scoreless, the Devils spent plenty of time in the offensive zone getting shots on net. A goal from Wyatt Gregory on the set up from Beau Reade would give the Devils a 1-0 lead by the end of the second. The third period would be another back and forth back but it was a goal from Justin Murdoch on the assist from Deacon Ellis that would give Quinte a 2-0 lead late in the game. Murdoch would score again only a couple minutes later to make it a 3-0 final victory for the Devils. Glen McInnes would record the shut out between the pipes.
On Deck: The McInroy Maines U18 Quinte Red Devils will host the York Simcoe Express on Saturday at QSWC and will take to the road on Sunday to face the Generals in Oshawa.
