SCTA defeats ETA Midget All-Stars in annual showcase event.

Colin Vandenhurk and Mackenzie Warren represented the McInroy Maines Construction Midgets on Team ETA at the 2016 ETA/SCTA All-Star Game Showcase held recently in St. Catharines. The SCTA defeated Team ETA, 3-2. The annual event offers college, Junior A, Junior B and OHL scouts a close-up look at the OMHA players at the top of the midget talent pool.

Vandenhurk, of Havelock, is a five-foot-11, 174-pound rearguard, and was a 2015 draft pick of the Kingston Frontenacs. He has 11-12-23 scoring totals in 36 games with QRD, along with 22 PMs.

Warren, a five-foot-11, 204-pound Stirling resident, has 6-15-21 scoring totals for QRD in 31 games, and 35 PMs. He was a 2015 draft pick of the Owen Sound Attack.
