Minor Midgets Win First Round Series Over Clarington Toros
5-1 win sends Red Devils to Round 2 of OMHA Playdowns
The KKP Minor Midgets won their first round OMHA Playdown series against the Clarington Toros on Sunday afternoon, with a convincing 5-1 road victory. The series was tied at 2 wins each, and the Red Devils were coming off of a 6-1 loss to the defending OMHA Champion Toros on Saturday afternoon at the QSWC. They were firing on all cylinders with 2 goals from Nate Dunkley, and single goals from Matthew Poole, and Madoka Suzuki. Evan Morrison handled the goaltending duties for the Red Devils. Next up for the minor midgets are the powerful York-Simcoe Express. The Express are ranked second in the 2016 OHL Cup Rankings.
