Advance to Quarter Finals at Peterborough Pat Larock Tournament

The Kwik Kopy Printing Minor Atoms played in the Peterborough Pat Larock Tournament September 8-10th.

Game 1 saw the Devils facing the Burlington Eagles.  From start to finish it was all Quinte as the Devils skated

to a 4-1 win.  Goal scorers were Kolby Craig, Kaden Koutroulides, Ryland Cunningham and Owen Rivers. Assists came from Rivers, Koutroulides, Craig, Jack Foley, Tavin MacDonald and Carson Lynch.

In game two the Devils started strong scoring first on a goal by Koutroulides but, eventually lost 3-1 to the Kitchener Jr. Rangers. The Devils were looking for a bounce back game and got that beating the Richmond Hill Coyotes 5-1. Goal scorers were Craig, Rivers, Cunningham, Koutroulides and MacDonald.  Assists came from Foley(2) Cunningham, Rykken Ellis and MacDonald.

The Devils advanced to the quarter finals of the 16 team tournament with a 2-1 round robin record.  This meant a match up with a familiar, strong Peterborough Petes team.  Peterborough won 3-0 and eventually won the tournament over the Central Ontario Wolves.

The Minor Atoms start their regular season Saturday in Cobourg at 1:30 pm vs Oshawa.
