Week #5 Report ...
Pita Pit - Atom
The Pita Pit Atom boys had a very successful week with 3 solid wins. They started the streak with a midweek game, matching up against the Kingston Jr Frontenacs at the Invista Centre on Wed Oct 4th. The boys came out with a purpose and determination that proved a 5-2 victory over the Frontenacs. Carter Chadwick opened the scoring assisted by Mason Musclow. Other goals scored by Kaiden Harmon assisted by Evan Erwin and Avery Wease, Owen Ferguson assisted by Rylan McCormack and Sam Thompson, Alek Asimis assisted by McCormack and Thompson, Deke Osterhout assisted by Wease and Musclow. Liam Boyer was solid in net.
On Saturday, Oct 7th the Pita Pit boys travelled to Pickering to take on the Ajax-Pickering Raiders. Still on a high from their win earlier in the week, they continued the momentum with a 4-2 win over the Raiders. First goal scored by Wease assisted by Erwin and Musclow. Other goals scored by Owen Cassidy (2) assisted by McCormack, Asimis, Osterhout and Thompson, Osterhout assisted by Cassidy and Thompson. Lennox Stewart picked up the win in goal.
The Pita Pit boys weren't backing down on Sunday, Oct 8th when they faced the 2016-17 OMHA finalists the Clarington Toros. Despite being down 2-0 at the end of the first period the boys scored 5 unanswered goals in the 2nd and 3rd to end the game with a 5-2 victory. Mason Musclow started the run of scoring followed by Erwin, Wease, and Ferguson (2). Assists made by Wease, McCormack, Osterhout, Nathan Sills, Chadwick (2), Harmon (3), and Musclow. Liam Boyer gave a strong performance in goal.

Game Ready Hockey Development - Bantam
Saturday October 7th, the Devils hosted the Richmond Hill Coyotes. The Devil’s took control of the game early and would skate to a 4-0 victory. Goals scored by Gavin Camp (2), Jett Butler and Daniel Michaud. Assists by Luke Lapalm, Daniel Michaud, Ben white (2), Nathaniel Burrelle (2) and Zack Brooks. Ethan Fraser with the shutout and he was also awarded player of the game.
On Sunday October 8th, The Devils travelled to Lindsay to take on the Central Ontario Wolves. Jett Butler would open with scoring in the first with an assist from Luke Lapalm. The Wolves would answer back ending the first period tied 1-1. The second would see each team put one in the net, scoring for the Devil’s was Daniel Michaud assisted by Zack Brooks. The Devil’s took control of the game in the third scoring two unanswered goals and winning the game 4-2. Goals scored by Connor Brooks and Daniel Michaud. Assisting was Ben White and Gavin Camp. Ethan Fraser was in net for the win and Daniel Michaud was awarded player of the game.

Foley Bus Lines - Minor Bantam
The Foley Bus Liners came out of last weekend with a win against the Markham Waxers and a loss to the hands of the Clarington Toros. On Saturday Oct 7, the Red Devils hosted the Markham Waxers at the QSWC. It was all Devils in this match as they found the back of the Waxers net 10 times. Scoring in the first period was; Trevor Hoskin with 2 and Dalyn Wakely with 2. Kellen Dostaler and Sami Douglas-Najem provided the helpers on Hoskin’s first goal, while Owen Beck and Sami Douglas-Najem assisted on his second. Liam Filip assisted on Wakely’s first goal, while Filip and Cooper Matthews assisted on his second. The second period saw Liam Filip light the lamp twice, while Kellen Dostaler added a single. Assisting on both Filip goals were; Cooper Matthews and Dalyn Wakely. Providing the helpers on the Dostaler goal were; Owen Beck and Trevor Hoskin. Third period goals were scored by Noah Richard with a pair, and Dalyn Wakely with a single to complete his hat trick. The Richard goals were assisted by; Dalyn Wakely, Corbin Roach and Parker Stewart. The Wakely goal was unassisted and short handed. Final score was 10-0 as Brayden Spry went the distance in the Devils cage and recorded the shut out.
On Sunday Oct 8, The Bus Liners traveled to Darlington to take on the Clarington Toro’s. The Toro’s were hungry to hand the Devils their first loss of the year as they came out of the gates flying with fast and aggressive play, putting the Devils on their heels as they went down by two goals after the first period. Early in the second period, the Toros struck again making the score 3-0, resulting in Corbin Votary being pulled from the Devils net. The Devils would finally get on the board in the second on a power play goal by Noah Richard, assisted by Dalyn Wakely. The second frame would end by a score of 3-1. The Devils would strike back first, in the third period to pull within one, on another power play goal scored by Owen Beck. Assists on the Beck goal went to Kellen Dostaler and Trevor Hoskin. The Toros would add a late third period goal, putting one by Brayden Spry as he finished the game in the Devils net. The Devils fell to the Toros by a score of 4-2.
On Deck: The Foley Bus Lines Minor Bantams would like to wish all their friends, family, sponsors, and supporters a Great Thanksgiving, and look forward to seeing them in their next game, as ETA action resumes this Wednesday Oct 11, where the Devils host the Kingston Jr. Frontenacs at the QSWC. Puck drop is slated for 7:45 pm.
Bonn Law - Peewee
The Bonn Law Quinte Red Devils Major Peewee team split a pair of games on the road this past weekend. On Saturday, the Devils were in Innisfil to take on the Barrie Colts. The team didn't get much going in the game and ended up on the losing end of 6-0 game. Aidan Crowley was in net for the Devils. The team bounced back on Sunday, when they were in Orilia to face the North central Predators. The team got their offense going, and scored 7 goals on their way to a 7-4 win. Ethan Miedema had a hat trick in the game, while Ben Smith, Keenan Wiles, Aidan Haller-Brady and Ethan Quick all added singles. Assisting on the goals was Ben Lynch (2), Duncan Schneider (2), Jack Lowry, Michael Dolton, Tyson Carr, Nick Oke, Christopher Brydges and Ethan Quick. Brayden Friedrich was between the pipes for the win.
On Deck: At St. Andrew's College next Saturday vs TheYork Simcoe Express @ 1:00 and then home on Sunday 2:30 in Madoc vs The Ajax-Pickering Raiders.
Kwik Kopy Printing - Minor Atom
The Kwik Kopy Printing Minor Atoms played host to the West Division leading Barrie Colts Saturday October 7th. Quinte knew they needed a good start against a strong Colts team and Connor Fetterley wired a shot past the Colts netminder midway through the first with assists to Riley Reid and Cooper Kelly. Late in the period Kolby Craig gave the Red Devils a 2-0 lead assisted by Jack Foley and Ryland Cunningham. Midway through the second Owen Rivers gave the Devils a 3-0 lead assisted by Kaden Koutroulides and Carson Lynch. Before the period ended Foley thought he had given Quinte a 4-0 lead but the referee did not see the puck go in. Numerous penalties did not help Quinte in the third period as Barrie gained momentum. Barrie would make it interesting as they scored twice to make it 3-2 late in the game. Nowl Wallace made a few key saves in the third period to earn the win.

Rhino Sports and Play - Novice
It was a hard Loss for the Rhino Sports and Play Novice Red Devils this weekend.
The Rhino Sports and Play Devils came home with a loss against the York Simcoe Express. With 11 shots on net the Devils just couldn't bury the puck. The final score was 4-0.
On Deck: Better luck with their next battle against the Whitby Wildcats on Oct 21st.
