COW would add 2 unanswered goals in the remainder of the second to take the lead. Quinte could not bounce back and would succumb to a 4-1 loss with an empty netter in the dying seconds of the third. Mason Musclow started off the scoring with a nice feed from Ben Sherwin. Ben Laird would put one past the tender top shelf asssited by Deke Osterhout. Osterhout put the game away with an empty netter.
Reece Herman was great in net to secure the shutout.

Bonn Law- Minor Bantam
The Bonn Law Minor Bantams competed in the Marlies Holiday Classic over the weekend and posted a 2-1-1 record. Although this put the team in 6th place overall after round robin play, they missed advancing to the quarter finals as they did not finish second in their pool.

They were able to shake their Christmas cobwebs out in their first game of the tournament with a 3-1 win over Rochester Monarchs. Scoring came from a point shot by Ben Davy, Ethan Miedema (assists to Cal Uens & Aiden Haller Brady) and Jack Dever with an empty netter near the end of the third. Liam Murphy was between the pipes for game one.

Despite outshooting and outplaying their opponents in a physical game against the Eastern Ontario Wild, the boys fell short posting a 3-2 loss. Goals scored by Miedema (2) with assists to Uens, Davy and Duncan Schneider. Aidan Crowley was in net for this match up.

The boys played their best game of the tournament in a highly anticipated match up against the Oakville Rangers which ended in a 2-2 tie. Liam Murphy was fabulous in net against the offensive powerhouse. QRD opened scoring with a shot from Jack Dever (assist to Haller Brady). The second and tying goal came on a power play late in the third with our goalie pulled for a two man advantage. In a feverish scramble, Dever netted the second goal with assists to Miedema and Uens.

Aidan Crowley started the final round robin game and is credited with the 3-0 win versus the Mississauga Senators. Miedema opened scoring in the third on a beautiful pass from Ethan Quick. Spencer Cranley then quickly scored the second goal (assist to Davy) before Miedema put home a third in the empty net.

The boys resume regular season play this weekend with an away game versus Whitby Wildcats.
