Message from the President
On behalf of the Quinte Red Devil organization, I would like to officially welcome all players, families, friends & sponsors to the 2019-2020 hockey season. It is an honour and privilege to have been elected as President of the organization for the upcoming season. I can assure you that the board members and I are exploring innovative strategies to continue building upon the strong reputation of the Quinte Red Devil Organization.
It is an exciting time in hockey as we watch the game and development models change. We look forward to building on the successes of last season through the implementation of the Power Edge Pro player development system, which focusses on small area game performance and will enhance elite player skills. We also look forward to watching our Novice team navigate the new national development system as directed by the OMHA, which is inclusive of half ice play with a transition to full ice after the New Year.
In order to develop players and teams that compete at the highest level of minor hockey, there are numerous people that must be recognized. I would like to thank the board members who volunteer countless hours to ensuring our players and families experience the best opportunities in their minor hockey years and for developing policy and structure to ensure we are developing exceptional individuals both on and off the ice.
On behalf of the organization, I would like to personally thank the coaches, trainers & managers who work tirelessly with our AAA teams, novice through midget. I can appreciate the effort that goes into the planning and preparation for the season. I can also appreciate the time spent reflecting on situations that may not have gone the way we had hoped, but it's been said that, “We don’t lose. We either win or learn”. Thank you for your commitment to the growth of our players and teams.
To the players, new and old, I want to welcome you to the ice and celebrate your accomplishments thus far. The commitment you have made to your teams and our organization does not go unnoticed. In return, we strive to offer you positive environments in which you build lifelong friendships, foster a sense personal growth and development and challenge you to be better than you were the day before.
To the parents, families & friends who support these players and demonstrate the ultimate commitment it takes to contend with the vast geography that accompanies our zone, I want to extend a special thank you, as we all know our teams would not be as successful without this level of dedication.
