The Madison Excavating Minor Bantams took 3 of a possible 4 points in regular season play this past weekend. Saturday had the Devils in the road to Markham to take on their OMHA rivals. Free Flow Petroleum- Minor Peewee
The Free Flow Petroleum Minor Peewees participated in the Tom Wilson Peewee Classic, in Toronto. Although, the weekend was not closed with their desired ending, the team nevertheless made a name for themselves. The Minor Peewees came out of round-robin action, in the top seed, being the only team (out of twenty) with a flawless 4-0 record and two victories each, for goalies Katste Brant and Cohen Bedore!!

It was a strong start on Friday morning, the Minor Peewees, opened the scoring 3 minutes into their first game, against the North Bay Trappers. From this point onward, the team did not let up, ending the game with a solid 9-2 victory! Earning points for the Minor Peewees were:  Kolby Craig (Owen Rivers), Jack Foley (Riley Reid and Matthew Airhart), Airhart (Rivers), Craig (Airhart and Rivers), Kaden Koutroulides (Ryland Cunningham and Foley), Cunningham (Reid and Airhart), Koutroulides (Foley and Cunningham),  Craig (Rivers) and Koutroulides (Ryan Babbs and Foley).

Friday afternoon your Minor Peewees faced off against the highly touted Toronto Red Wings. Unbeknownst to their opponent, your Minor Peewees were more than ready to compete! Points for the Devils, from: Airhard (Craig and Rivers), Airhart (Craig and Noah Lesser), Rivers (Craig and Reid) and Foley (Cunningham and Koutroulides).

Playing a familiar crew on Saturday. The Minor Peewees met up with a regular season opponent, taking centre ice versus the Ajax-Pickering Raiders (AP Raiders). Knowing not to take the AP Raiders lightly, the Devils kept their sticks on the ice and their sights set on a "W"; earning a 4-3 win to start off day two! Goals against the Raiders, scored by: Cunningham (Foley), Cunningham (Airhart and Kelly), Airhart (Rivers and Lynch), Foley (Koutroulides).

In the final round-robin game versus Kanata Blazers, the Minor Peewees held onto their momemtum carrying forward to their fourth victory (final score: 6-3). Goals scored by: Cunningham (Foley and Lynch), Koutrolides (Foley and Cunningham), Cunningham (Koutroulides and Foley), Airhart (Rivers and MacDonald), Koutroulides (Foley), Airhart (Craig and Rivers).

On Sunday morning, the Devils encountered some familiar faces and back-and-forth game play, as they met up with a league rival, the Whiby Wildcats. The quarterfinals did not prove the be the game the Devils hoped for, although they pressed on, into the moments, when an empty-net goal, translated Whitby's lead, to our loss. Points by: Cunningham (unassisted), Airhart (unassisted), Airhart (Rivers and Craig).

Hold onto the great successes of the weekend (there were many) and let the quarterfinals fuel you to future victories, boys!

The Foley Bus Lines Minor Midgets were able to grab two of a possible four points this past weekend in ETA action. First up on Saturday the home town Devils hosted the first place York-Simcoe Express which saw the locals fall behind by a 2-0 deficit by the middle of the second frame.

The Devils fought back to tie it in the latter half of the second only to give up another two in the third before scoring one late and then running out of time to ultimately lose the contest 4-3. Sunday, the Devils looked to avenge Saturday’s loss by welcoming in the Ajax-Pickering Raiders to the CAA arena. The QRD’s got on the board first with two in the first period and went on to kill twelve minutes in penalties while scoring once more in the second and adding a shorty in the third to take the contest with a shutout victory 4-0.
