Alliance Spray Foam Insulation- Minor Atom
The Alliance Spray Foam Insulation Minor Atom Devils played a tough fought game vs the Markham Waxers on Saturday after coming off a tough loss the week before vs Whitby.
On Sunday, November 3rd, the Red Devils hosted Whitby in Madoc, but found themselves in penalty trouble most of the game, and chasing the Wildcats on the scoreboard as well. Whitby would open the scoring midway through the first period, but Ewan Dahle tied it up shortly there after, by jumping on a rebound in front of the net. Brechyn Aird and Kade Scaletta assisted on the goal. Whitby would score 3 unanswered in the 2nd before Trent Clow cut the lead to two. Assist to Coen Lowry. Whitby added another one a minute later and the game ended 5-2.
Saturday, November 9th, the Devils travelled to Markham to play the Waxers. Again the Red Devils would find themselves in penalty trouble from start to to finish. Lauchlan Whelan managed a short handed goal unassisted in the first period putting the Devils up 1-0. That score held up until the 7 minute mark of the third period when the Waxers converted on a power play. The game would end in a 1-1 draw.
Next up for the Alliance Spray Foam Insulation Red Devils is Richmond Hill on Saturday at the Elgin Barrow arena, and then North Central in Madoc on Sunday.
World Elite Training- Major Atom
The World Elite Training Atoms had a quiet week with only one game on the schedule. On Sunday, they hosted the Central Ontario Wolves at their home barn in Madoc.
Maclean Chisholm went top corner to beat the goalie for the first goal of the game. At the end of the first period it was a tied game. The Devils were on a power play when Wyatt Whalen (assisted by Jake Gawley) scored the second goal. At the end of the second period, the Devil were down 4-2 to the Wolves. Unfortunately, Quinte could not catch up and took the 5-2 loss against the Wolves.
Up next, Quinte has back to back home games where they face the North Central Predators on Saturday and Markham Waxers on Sunday. Go Quinte Go!
Pita Pit- Major Peewee
The Pita Pits hosted the first place team Ajax Pickering Raiders on Saturday. It was a fast paced game that was back and forth and ultimately ended in a 3-3 tie. Goal scorers in this one was Deke Osterhout with 2 and Ben Sherwin with the other. Assists went to Andrew MacNiel with 2 Ben Sherwin 2 Owen Cassidy and Evan Erwin. Reece Herman was solid in net for the Red Devils.
The Pita Pits travelled to Oshawa to take on the Generals on Sunday night. Quinte took it to the Generals with a quick start and continued throughout the game as they defeated the Generals 6-1. Evan Erwin had a fantastic night answering the bell with a hat trick and 2 assists. Other goal scorers were Deke Osterhout, Ethan Kenney and Kaiden Harmon. Osterhout added 3 assists and Sherwin had 1. Liam Boyer was good in net for Quinte in this one.
On Deck
Saturday at Central Ontario.
Sunday at York Simcoe.
Madison Excavating- Minor Bantam
The Madison Excavating Minor Bantams took 4 points in regular season games this past weekend.
Saturday had the Devils on the road to St Andrews College to face the York Simcoe Express. Leading the pack in league play the Express battled back and forth with Quinte all game long. It was Quinte who would score the only goal of the game in the second period. On the set up by Beckett Ewart and Deacon Ellis, Nolan Donnelly found the back of the YSE net to make it a 1-0 game. Mike McIvor made key saves in the game to claim the shut out and the Devils victory.
Home game Sunday at RCAF was a high scoring event with the Devils taking down the Central Ontario Wolves with an 8-2 win. Quinte took a 2-1 lead in the first with goals from Donnelly and Gage Butcher. Assisting were Landon Wright (2) and Ewart. The second set was all Devils offence with Quinte adding another 5 goals to take a 7-1 lead by the end of the period. Scoring in the second were Jared Langdon, Donnelly(2), Ewart and Thomas Kuipers. Assists with the 5 goals came from Kuipers(2), Carson Campbell, Ellis, Brody Partridge, Ben Vreugdenhil and Braedyn Rogers. Both teams would score again in the third, Partridge assisted by Liam Storms, to make it an 8-2 final. Glen McInnes protected the net for the Devils for the win.
Up next this week, the Minor Bantams will travel to Clarington on Thursday, Pickering on Saturday and host North Central at QSWC on Sunday.
Free Flow Petroleum- Minor Peewee
A 3-game week for the Free Flow Petroleum team, the minor peewee's faced Clarington at home on Thursday. A fast-paced and exciting game to watch, the first period finished with a 1-0 deficit for the home team. Feeling unsettled, the second period began with a quick goal by Kayden Koutroulides (assisted by Jack Foley and Carson Lynch). Holding onto the momentum, Kolby Craig notched Quinte's second of the game, with a feed from Matthew Airhart. Quick to respond, Clarington tied it up, at 2. Neither team showing any sign of slowing, Riley Reid (set up by Jacob Moore) regained Quinte's lead, nearing the end of the second frame. The grind continued, thevisitor tied up the game at 3-3 and on into the final seconds the minor peewees tried to regain their lead but settled for the 3-3 draw.
The second home game of the week was played on Saturday versus Peterborough. A quiet first period, the back and forth action took us into the 2nd period, before the games first goal was scored by Airhart (assists to Rykken Ellis and Craig) in the last few minutes of the period. Heading into the third period in a 1-1 tie, the final frame proved, not only to be a two-way battle, but also high-scoring! Not the outcome hoped for, the minor peewee's lost 5-2, after an empty-net goal. Quinte's final two goals going to: Owen Rivers (assists: Airhart and Craig) and Cunningham (Reid and Foley).
Rarely a simple game, the team travelled to Oshawa on Sunday morning, where the scoreboard showcased as much chaos as the ice surface. First period saw two late goals, the first by Foley (from Koutroulides and Lynch), then by Oshawa. The second period was all Quinte! Ryland Cunningham hit the twine twice, with feeds from Foley and Koutroulides. Although the 3rd period started off nicely, with Koutroulides putting Quinte at 4, a series of unfortunate variables and much-to-be desired decisions, ended the game at 4-4.
An unintentional oversight, last week, saw a commanding shut out by Katste Brant, versus York-Simcoe Express.

The Bonn Law Major Bantams secured another 4 points this weekend staying on top of the standings.
