QRD Weekly Report - Monday October 18, 2021 (Updated!)
Here is the QRD Weekly Report for the past week of Red Devils action...

U10- Gillespie Tree Services
Drew Doughty London Tournament Recap: Oct 15-17

The Gillespie Tree Services QRD U10’s travelled to London and competed in their first tournament of the season. Not only did the team excel on the ice, but also the time spent away from the rink was just as important for the team bonding aspect. Whether it was swimming in the pool, playing mini sticks in the hallway or just sitting down and relaxing with the team, the group had a memorable weekend.

The QRD finished with a 3-1 record after round robin play however that wasn’t enough to secure them a semi-final spot. Everett Brown finished as top scorer for the team with 11 points in 4 games while Coulter Watson, Dylan Chalk and Blake Milne also had great offensive weekends. Goaltender Hayden Tripp had a strong weekend by earning the player of the game award after getting his first ever AAA shutout in game three. Logan Skutovich also excelled between the pipes and added a player of the game award in game four.

A big shout out this week goes to overall team defence. With a great display of teamwork, QRD only allowed 8 goals in 4 games which ranked them 3rd out of 16 teams in that category. The team continues to work hard and improve daily while putting in maximum effort each game.

Next Up: Saturday October 23rd @ Central Ontario Wolves
