U10- Gillespie’s Tree Service

The Gillespie Tree Services QRD U10’s hosted the Markham Waxers this weekend. QRD jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead early in the first period and seemed to control most of the play. However, late in the first period Markham would score two goals to take a 2-1 lead heading to the 2nd period. The Waxers would score another goal on the power play moving the lead to 3-1 at the end of the 2nd period leaving the QRD squad to try to come back from a multi goal deficit for a third game in a row. QRD did manage to score one goal in the 3rd period to make the game 3-2 but the Waxers squashed any hopes of a comeback as they scored an empty net goal to secure the 4-2 victory. Logan Skutovich got the start between the pipes and played well to help keep the game within reach.
