Selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the second round (33rd overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft...

Owen is a member of the Mississauga Steelheads of the OHL who contributed 21 goals and 30 assists in his rookie season. He was selected to the OHL's rookie all-star team.
In 2019 he was part of the Quinte Red Devils U16 team that won the OMHA Championship.
