U10, U11, U12 and U13 Tryout Information - Part 1
Please read this brief article for all of information you need regarding the upcoming tryouts.

U10 - U13 registration will be open from MONDAY August 1 until THURSDAY September 1 at 11:30pm

1. Background Information

Just like last September there will be 2 phases - the Prep Phase, and the actual Tryout Skates for the U10 - U13 age groups.  During the Prep Phase, there will be 2 skates, and there is no evaluation of players, and no cuts are made. The Prep Phase skates are optional, meaning, players are not required to attend these skates.

The Tryout Skates will be 2 guaranteed skates, and then players may be offered a place on the team, a chance to continue trying out, a waiver, or be released.

The on-ice process will begin on Tuesday September 6. Schedules have been published for some time, but may have to be adjusted if more players than expected register for tryouts.

The costs are as follows:

Prep Phase

U10, U11, U12, and U13 - 2 skates at $60

Tryout Phase

U9, U10, U11, U12 and U13 - 2 skates guaranteed plus a QRD Tryout Jersey for $125

2. Registration Process

Registration for tryouts will be completed on-line on the QRD Website. There will be separate registration forms for each age group, as well as for each Phase of the process (Prep Skates and Tryout Skates). To attend the Prep Skates AND the Tryout Skates athletes will fill out BOTH forms. You will be required to e-transfer your payment to QRMHA in order to complete the registration process. It is a separate transaction from your bank's on-line banking app.

Send e-transfers to: [email protected]. Also, please indicate your child's name and age group in the Message box. One e-transfer transaction is perfectly fine if you are attending the Prep AND Tryout Skates, or if you have multiple children attending.
Please follow this process carefully, and only send e-transfers to this account.

3. Permission to Skate Forms

Also, in order to attend tryouts, prospective players must have a Permission to Skate form (PTS), from their home centre.
The PTS form verifies that:
a) the player is in good standing with their home centre,
b) is a resident in their home centre and the Quinte Zone, and
c) is therefore eligible to attend tryouts with Quinte AAA.

Home centres might not issue the PTS forms until a few days before tryouts. You do not need it to register for tryouts, so just bring it to the first skate.

Please do not email PTS forms.

If you do not have the permission to skate form, you will not be eligible to attend the tryout. Please do not try to get around this step. If you are not sure what this means, please contact your home centre.

If you have questions please send an email to [email protected]
