The Quinte E360 Solutions U14s Go 2 for 2 in ETA Play

The Quinte E360 Solutions Red Devils picked up two wins in ETA play this week.

Game One, vs Oshawa Generals, 2-0 Win

Lily Reid picked up the shutout in goal (11th of the season)

ON DECK: The Quinte E360 Solutions Red Devils play Jan. 31st vs. Clarington, Feb. 4th vs. RHC, and Feb. 5th at Whitby.

The McInroy Maines U18 Quinte Red Devils had just One Game this Week in Regular 

Season Play as they Took on the Whitby Wildcats on the Road.

 

The McInroy Maines U18s took a solid 6-0 win over the Wildcats last Friday night and kept the fans entertained with 2 goals per period while securing another 2 points in season play.

Scoring in the first was Justin Murdoch and Keenan Wiles, with assists coming from Cooper Kellar, Liam Storms, Ben Vreugdenhil and Deacon Ellis. The second period saw another two goals added to the scoreboard from Carter McKee and Thomas Elkins on the set ups from Trent Williams and Gage Butcher. The third saw a goal from Joey Coates and from Butcher, with the assists going to McKee, Williams, Elkins and Murdoch. Glen McInnes was between the pipes for the Devils for the shut out.

 

ON DECK: The McInroy Maines U18s have two games on the road this week as they head to Oshawa on Thursday and Clarington on Sunday. They will be at home to host the Richmond Hill Coyotes on Sunday at 6pm at the QSWC.

Quinte’s U16 Pita Pit Red Devils Finish the Week with 2 Wins and 2 Losses

 

The U16 Pita Pit Quinte Red Devils took on the first place Peterborough Petes on Tuesday night at home. The puck dropped at 8:15pm with Reece Herman in net. The Red Devils took a quick 1-0 lead 40 seconds into the game with a goal from Ben Sherwin. Zack Carrier had Quinte’s second goal late in the first, ending the period with a 2-1 lead. But, in the second and third periods, the Petes scored four unanswered goals, taking the win 6-2.

 

Thursday began the first of three road trips this week when the Pita Pit U16s travelled to Lindsay to play the Central Ontario Wolves. The Red Devils played a strong game but couldn’t find the back of the net and lost to the Wolves 5-1. Ben Sherwin had Quinte’s lone goal and Liam Boyer was between the pipes. 

 

On Saturday, the boys hit the road for an afternoon game against the Ajax-Pickering Raiders and took the two points with a well-deserved 3-0 win. Reece Herman had the shutout and Quinte’s goals were scored by Zack Carrier, Avery Wease and Pax Murphy. 

 

On Sunday, the Pita Pit Red Devils were back on the road to play the Oshawa Generals. The Generals took the lead early, but the Red Devils fought back and took the win 5-2. Liam Boyer was in net and Quinte’s goals were scored by Deke Osterhout, Avery Wease (2), Ben Sherwin, and Parker Fergusson.

 

ON DECK: The U16 Pita Pit Quinte Red Devils hope to redeem themselves this Tuesday when they travel to Fenelon Falls to take on the Central Ontario Wolves once again. Then, on Saturday at home (4pm), the Red Devils host the Richmond Hill Coyotes. Come on out and cheer on the boys!

The U15 Free Flow Petroleum Devils Take a Loss Against the ETA’s Top Team and Participate in a Sock Drive for People Experiencing Homelessness

 

The Free Flow Petroleum Devils U15s played host to the York Simcoe Express on Saturday. The Express got on the scoreboard first, hitting the net midway through period one. Despite a backhand goal by Matthew Airhart (Jack Foley and Owen Rivers) to tie things up, the Devils would fall 4-1 to the Express. Otsirakatste Brant took the loss in net.

 

Saturday also marked the team’s annual efforts to support people experiencing homelessness through a Sock Drive, resulting in 523 pairs of socks! The socks collected by the team are part of a larger charitable effort known as the 20Ksockday that delivers socks to local organizations like the John Howard Society and the Grace Inn Shelter. 20ksockday is accepting contributions until Feb. 17th

 

ON DECK: The Free Flow Petroleum Devils U15s are gearing up for a busy four-game week. Wednesday night they host the Central Ontario Wolves at QSWC, 8:30pm. Thursday, they play the Oshawa Generals at RCAF, 7pm. On Saturday, they host the Markham Waxers at QSWC, 2pm and on Sunday they travel to Peterborough to face the Petes.

It was a 4 POINT WEEKEND for the Gillespie's Tree Service U13 Team!! 

 

On Saturday the Ajax Pickering Raiders pulled into Baltimore to face the Quinte Red DevilGillespie's Tree Service U13s.  We got off to a quick 3-0 lead in the first with goals by Joey Seguin, Andrew Laurin and Jax Martin. In the second the Devils were a little flat footed, but Nathan Ferris stood tall in the net and held Ajax to one goal. The third was a bit more like our usual Red Devils play, who broke out with 4 more goals. Brechyn Aird, Liam Marion, Trent Clow and Seguin added his second of the game. Assists went to Clow 3, Whelan 2, Dewar 2, Maeve Aird, Liam Marion, Brechyn Aird and Ewan Dahle.

 

On Sunday it was a snowy one but that didn't stop the QRD U13s from capturing their 23rd win of the season. Ryerson Swan started in goal and went on for the win 7-1. Trent Clow and Andrew Laurin had a pair of goals each while Easton Thompson, Andrew Dewar and Lauchlan Whelan had singles. Assists went to Whelan 2, Coen Lowry 2, Spencer Harold 2, Liam Marion, Brechyn Aird, Joey Seguin, Andrew Laurin. 

 

ON DECK: The Quinte Red Devil Gillespie's Tree Service U13s are in action next weekend at the Baltimore Arena 12:30 Saturday vs Oshawa and then we head to Whitby to battle the Wildcats at 4pm Sunday.

The Bonn Law QRD U12 Team had another busy weekend, picking up 5 of 6 points in league play. 

 

On Friday evening, The Devils travelled to Ajax to take on the Raiders. In a back and forth, physical game, it was the Raiders who struck first. Noah Hughes would even the score on the Power play, when he buried a beauty pass from Holden Goulah on the back door. Oliver McCulloch put his team ahead by a goal, heading in to the third period, when he scored from the point on a pass from Cameron Stevens. The Raiders would not back down, and tied the game at two, but Noah Hughes would add two more goals, including an empty netter, to complete the hat trick on the way to a 4-2 win for the Devils. Also picking up assists in the game was Mason Whalen, Miller Nicholson, and Jaxson Plummer. Matt Travers picked up the win between the pipes and Noah Hughes was named player of the game.

 

On Saturday, The Red Devils would host The York Simcoe Express in Marmora. Zach Miedema got his team off to a quick start, when he went bar down in the first shift of the game, on a great passing play from Shea Teather and Cameron Stevens. The Red Devils continued to carry the play throughout the game, but the Express pushed back and would score two goals late in the third period and the game ended in a 3-3 tie. Miller Nicholson and Bryce McRae scored the other two goals for the Devils. Noah Hughes, James Gullage and Edmund Dowling all added assists. Dax Sage was in net for the Red Devils.

 

In their third game of the weekend, The U12 Red Devils travelled to Oshawa on a snowy Sunday morning, to take on The Generals. Once again, the Opposing team would strike first, and The Devils found themselves down by a goal heading into the second period. The boys settled in and went to work on the power play, scoring 2 beauty PP goals and adding one more at even strength, to win by a score of 3-1. Noah Hughes had a pair of power play goals in the game, and Miller Nicholson added a goal of his own. Chipping in with the helpers on the goals was Whalen (2), Nicholson, Goulah and Dowling. Matt Travers was solid in net, earning his second win of the weekend. Mason Whalen was named player of the game.

 

ON DECK: On Saturday at 1:00pm, the Bonn Law QRD U12s are @ Colborne vs The Markham Waxers and Sunday 2:30 @ Woodville vs The Central Ontario Wolves.

The Foley Bus Lines U10 Red Devils Stay Perfect

 

The Foley Bus Lines U10s won both games this weekend and sit atop the ETA league standings with a record of 21-0. Saturday it was a home game in Marmora against the second place Clarington Toros. Max Norton would find the back of the net for Quinte, less than a minute into the game. Assists went to Evan Andrews and Mac Brown. That was the first period’s lone goal.

The second period saw both teams score three goals each, making the score 4-3 for the Red Devils. Scoring in the period for Quinte was Andrews with two and Ethan Dowling. Picking up assists were Noah Gilchrist (2), Matt Dawson, Linden Ludolph, Jaxon Elrick and Brown. 

The third period would see Quinte score two more times, while Red Devil goalie Lily Groeneveld would shut the door on Clarington. Third period Quinte goals were scored by Kash Nelson and Will Beebe (empty net). Assists went to Andrews, Elrick, Nelson and Dawson. Groeneveld picked up the win and was also named player of the game.

 

Sunday the Red Devils took on the York-Simcoe Express in Belleville at the CAA. It was another exciting game right to the finish. York-Simcoe would score the first period's only goal. The second period saw Quinte score four times and York-Simcoe scored once. Will Beebe would score twice in the frame, while Kash Nelson and Ethan Dowling also found the back of the net. Assists went to Linden Ludolph (2), Jaxon Elrick and Ryker Thompson. The score after two periods was 4-2 for Quinte. York-Simcoe would score with four minutes left in the third period to make it a one goal game. With only one minute left in the game Noah Gilchrist would score on an empty net, assisted by Evan Andrews, making the final 5-3 for the Red Devils. Blake Laurin was solid in net and Will Beebe was named player of the game.

 

ON DECK: The Foley Bus Lines U10 Red Devils play Saturday, February 04 at home (Marmora) at 2PM vs Ajax-Pickering Raiders and head to Kingston on Sunday to play the Jr Gaels at 6:15.
