Pita Pit U16s Take Game 1 in Playoffs
The U16 Pita Pit Quinte Red Devils hosted the North Central Predators on Saturday at 4pm and took the win 4-1. The game was a tight one, 2-1 in favour of the Red Devils through two periods of play but the Red Devils, with Reece Herman in net, came out strong in the third and stretched the lead with two more unanswered goals. Quinte’s goals were scored by Owen Cassidy, Ben Sherwin, Deke Osterhaut and Zack Carrier. It was a strong start for the Red Devils who are in a 4 team round robin with the Central Ontario Wolves, Whitby Wildcats and North Central Predators. The winner of the series moves onto the OMHA Championship that takes place in Oakville from March 17th-19th.

The U15 Free Flow Petroleum Devils Wrap up the Regular Season with a Win on the Road
The Free Flow Petroleum Devils played their first of two games this weekend, hosting the Whitby Wildcats on Saturday. Unfortunately, the Devils were held off the scoreboard, while Whitby capitalized with two power play goals. Otsirakatste Brant took the 2-0 loss in net.
On Sunday, the Devils traveled to Clarington to face the Toros. Getting on the scoresheet in the first was Owen Rivers, with Liam Grant and Matthew Airhart drawing assists. Jake Campbell followed suit just over two minutes later, with Kaden Koutroulides drawing the lone assist. In the second frame, Airhart found the net, assisted by Noah Lesser and Liam Campbell. During the last period of play, Ryan Kinghan also got on the scoreboard, with J. Campbell drawing the assist. A solid performance by Cohen Bedore sealed the deal on the 4-1 victory.
ON DECK: The Free Flow Petroleum U15s hit the road on Sunday for a playoff match against the Oshawa Generals.

The Quinte U14 E360 Solutions Red Devils Remain Red Hot in ETA Play
The Quinte U14 E360 Solutions Red Devils remain red hot in ETA league play, picking up back-to-back 4-0 wins over the Peterborough Petes and the Whitby Wildcats.

Gillespie's Tree Service U13s Finish the Regular Season landing in 2nd place in the Standings!
The Gillespie's Tree Service U13s finished up their dominant regular season looking for a win in Kingston this past Sunday. Quinte would get off to a nightmare start going down 2-0 early in the opening frame, but not to worry as the Red Devils would get back even early into the second with Joey Seguin and Trent Clow supplying the goals, helpers from Easton Thompson, Trent Clow, Lauchlan Whelan and Liam Marion. Quinte would carry the momentum for the remainder of the game but couldn't muster up any offence. Kingston would break the tie to make it 3-2 and would later add an empty netter as Quinte would suffer a 4-2 loss to end the regular season campaign to finish in second place.
ON DECK: The first Round Of Playoffs in the Series Bracket A vs Oshawa, Barrie, North Central & Richmond Hill has the Gillespie's Tree Service U13s playing Saturday Feb 25th vs Oshawa at 12:30 (Baltimore) and Sunday Feb 26th vs Richmond Hill at 2:30 (Richmond Hill).

The Bonn Law QRD U12 Team finished their regular season with two wins this past week.
The Team had a very successful regular season, finishing with a 31-1-4 record in ETA league play. On Wednesday, The Red Devils travelled to Kingston for a game vs The Jr Gaels. After trailing 1-0 going into the second period, the team went to work, lighting the lamp 7 times on their way to a 7-3 win. Scoring in the game provided by; Cameron Stevens, Edmund Dowling (2), Shea Teather, Miller Nicholson, Bryce McRae and Mason Whalen. Chipping in with helpers on the goals was Austin Pettey (3), Brody Grant, Mason Whalen, Thomas Marsden, Zachary Miedema, Cameron Stevens and Edmund Dowling. Dax Sage was solid in net for the win.
On Saturday, the Red Devils hosted The Clarington Toros, in their last home game of the regular season. Matt Travers was sharp between the pipes and earned his 10th shutout of the season in a 5-0 win. Everett Brown, Zach Miedema, Edmund Dowling, James Gullage and Cam Stevens all lit the lamp for their team. Assists in the game going to Pettey (2), Nicholson, Whalen, McCulloch, Grant and Miedema.
ON DECK: The Bonn Law QRD U12 Team are looking forward to starting the playoffs this weekend on the road. Saturday February 25 3:30 @ Barrie and Sunday 1:00 @ Rama vs The North Central Predators.

The Madison Excavating U11 Quinte Red Devils Start the Playoffs with a Win!
The Madison Excavating U11 Quinte Red Devils hosted the Peterborough Petes on Sunday, to commence the highly anticipated OMHA playdowns. The QRD squad wasted no time in establishing an early lead, which they held throughout the entirety of the game. Three and a half minutes into the first period, Cooper Plumley opened up the scoring with a slick move, tucking the puck past the opposition’s goaltender. Less than two minutes later, Kade Osterhout pounced on the rebound from a Blake McManus point shot, bumping the lead to two. Going into the second period, the score was 2-0, which is where it would remain headed into the third. Five minutes into the third, Cooper Plumley scored his second goal of the day, giving QRD a 3-0 lead. The Petes fought back hard and managed to score a lone goal with three minutes and thirteen seconds left until the final buzzer. The Petes then pulled their goalie with a minute left in the game, but even with the extra player, they were unable to capitalize. The game ended in a 3-1 victory for QRD; an excellent way to start the playoffs. In net, Ben Larmer played a strong game and helped lead the team to victory.
ON DECK: The Madison Excavating U11 Quinte Red Devils will take on the Markham Waxers on Saturday, February 25th, at the Milliken Mills Community Centre in Markham. On Sunday, February 26th, they will host the Whitby Wildcats in the CAA arena in Belleville.

The Foley Bus Lines U10 Red Devils Open Up the Playoffs With Two Wins
The team picked up four road points on the weekend to start their playoffs. Saturday they were in Markham to take on the Waxers. The first period was held scoreless as Quinte had their chances but couldn’t find the back of the net. The second period the Red Devils turned it on scoring four times making the score 4-0 after two periods. The third period would see Quinte score twice more, while Markham would score once. That would make the final 6-1 for Quinte.
Red Devil goals were scored by Cohen Reid (2), Will Beebe (2), Max Norton and Ethan Dowling. Picking up assists were Beebe (3), Noah Gilchrist (2), Graydon Tucker and Jaxon Elrick. Blake Laurin picked up the win in net and Cohen Reid was named player of the game.
Sunday it was another road game in Orillia to take on the North Central Predators. The first period was a back-and-forth battle that ended in a 1-1 tie. The second and third period were all Quinte as they would score eight more times making the final 9-1. Quinte goals were scored by Max Norton (2), Graydon Tucker (2), Will Beebe, Cohen Reid, Kash Nelson, Ethan Dowling and Noah Gilchrist. Picking up assists were Beebe (3), Dowling, Tucker, Matt Dawson, Nelson, Malkin Courtney, Norton and Jaxon Elrick. Lily Groeneveld had a great game in net picking up the win and Will Beebe was named player of the game.
ON DECK: The Foley Bus Lines U10 Red Devils are at home for two games next weekend. Saturday vs Oshawa at 2pm in Marmora and Sunday vs North Central at 1:30pm at QSWC (CAA).
