The Free Flow Petroleum Red Devils Had Split Results in League Play this Week
On Wednesday, the Devils traveled to Kingston for the third and final matchup of the regular season. Liam Campbell (Jean-Cristoph Lemieux and Maddox Dagenais) opened scoring with the only goal of the first period. Kingston answered in the second frame, but Dagenais (Lemieux and Mickael Fournier) capitalized on a power play to regain the lead. Campbell (Jacob Moore and Dagenais) would seal the deal with an empty net goal in the final minutes play. Noah Groeneveld earned the 3-1 victory in net.
On Sunday, the Devils hosted the Whitby Wildcats for the noon hour match. A rough start left the Devils trailing by three at the end of the first period. Campbell (Dagenais and Airhart) would find the net on the power play to get the Devils on the scoreboard. A few minutes later Airhart would bury a stretch pass from Ostiraktatste Brant but the Wildcats would strike again before the end of the second frame. In the third, Lemieux (Campbell and Dagenais) lit the lamp but an empty net goal from Whitby ended Quinte’s hopes for a comeback win. Brant took the 5-3 loss in net.
ON DECK: The Free Flow Petroleum Red Devils U16s have a busy week, hosting the Clarington Toros on Tuesday, the Central Ontario Wolves on Wednesday, and the York-Simcoe Express on Saturday, all at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre.

Two Ties this Week for the Gillespie’s Tree Service U14 Quinte Red Devils
The Gillespie’s Tree Service U14s resumed regular season play this weekend with a matchup Saturday in Aurora versus the York Simcoe Express. The Devils came out to a slow start but ended up tying the game late to end in a 1-1 draw. The lone goal came from Laurin with assists from Dahle and Kennedy. Ferriss was in net for this match up.
The Devils had a quick turn around the next day with a game against the Peterborough Petes. Once again, the Devils walked away with a tie, this time the final score being 4-4 with Gayle in net. The goals came from Clow, Seguin, Fisher and Laurin with assists coming from Peeters (2), Dahle, Laurin, Harold and Beebe.
ON DECK: The Devils are looking to get back in the win column with their lone game versus the Kingston Jr. Gaels.

The Madison Excavating U12 Red Devils Bank Two Points this Week
In an electrifying match this past Saturday afternoon, the Madison Excavating U12 Quinte Red Devils faced off on home ice in Belleville against the Jr. Gaels. The game kicked off with an explosive start, as Quinte swiftly found the back of the net just eighteen seconds into the game. The Devils extended their lead in the second period, netting two more goals. Up three going into the third, QRD scored four additional goals to secure the 7-0 shutout win.
In a tightly contested match on Sunday afternoon in Madoc, the Devils faced off against the Clarington Toros. The game remained scoreless in the first period. The action intensified in the second period, as Quinte broke the deadlock with a goal at the 13:11 mark. The Toros quickly responded, finding the back of the net just twenty-five seconds later. Then, with a mere second left in the period, Clarington surged ahead with a second goal. The third period saw a concerted effort from the Devils, briefly evening the score at two. Clarington retaliated, however, reclaiming the lead three minutes later. The Toros then sealed the deal by adding an insurance marker, which resulted in a 4-2 loss for Quinte.

The 417 Bus Line U11 Red Devils Pick Up a Weekend Win
The team played one game this weekend, picking up a win and improved their regular season record to 27-0.
They were at home on Saturday against the York-Simcoe Express. Quinte skated to a 8-3 win.
Scoring for the Red Devils was Evan Andrews (3), Kash Nelson (2), Noah Gilchrist, Ryker Thompson and Jaxon Elrick. Picking up assists were Max Norton (3), Andrews, Gilchrist, Thompson, Matt Dawson, Linden Ludolph and Will Beebe. Blake Laurin was in net for the win and Elrick was named Devil of the Day.
ON DECK: The 417 Bus Line U11 Red Devils head to Barrie to participate in the Barrie AAA Atom Challenge Cup. They have round robin games against the North Bay Trappers, Rideau St. Lawerence Kings, Credit River Capitals and Southern Tier Admirals.

U10s Win Their Only Game of the Week
Saturday saw the Breakaway Fuels U10 Red Devils take on the Clarington Toros for the second time in a week. The first period at the Keeler Centre in Coleborne provided plenty of excitement but both goalies stood tall and kept the game scoreless after 10 minutes. Five minutes into the second period Tripp Plumley scored off a rebound from an Avery Thickson shot. Silas Templar also picked up an assist on the play. Just 8 seconds later Plumley scored his second of the game again from Thickson. Despite carrying a majority of the play the young devils could not put up any more goals in the middle frame and carried a 2-0 lead into the third. With just under 5 minutes to play in the third Kai Mackie would block a Clarington point shot and score a breakaway goal to provide the finishing touch on a great complete team win. Jordy Andrews would record the shutout and Avery Thickson was awarded the Devil of the Day pitchfork.
ON DECK: The team gets a weekend off next week to prepare for their final 6 regular season games and upcoming playoffs.
