Welcome to the 2025-2026 Season
On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, we would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our players and families as we prepare to begin a new and exciting season of Quinte AAA hockey.
Congratulations to the young athletes who have earned their place on our teams-your hard work, perseverance, and passion for the game have brought you here, and we are proud to have you represent Quinte AAA this season. To the families who support these players, thank you for the time, effort, and commitment you bring to our hockey community.
As a newly elected Board made up entirely of volunteers, we are energized and united in our goal to evolve with the ever-changing hockey landscape and help guide Quinte AAA into a new era of growth and accountability. Our work has already begun. At our recent Annual General Meeting, significant updates to our rules and policies were passed-important first steps in modernizing our structure and operations.
At our most recent Board meeting, we voted to implement a new Development Plan for the 2025-2026 season. This plan is designed to enhance skill development across all age groups and better align our players with today's high-performance standards. As part of this new approach, all Quinte AAA teams will now conduct development sessions on the same night every other week, creating a unified environment where multiple development coaches will work with teams throughout the evening. This coordinated structure allows us to provide consistent, high-quality development across the organization.
In addition, the Board has committed to a full review of all operational and financial components of our organization. This includes a thorough evaluation of honorarium positions and contract structures, pay scales for coaching staff, and a potential adjustment to player fees to support new development initiatives. These reviews are being conducted with the goal of ensuring Quinte AAA remains transparent, accountable, and aligned with best practices across minor hockey.
Our promise to you is simple: we will be transparent in everything we do. From financial decisions to policy changes, our goal is to keep you informed and involved.
